| By Jamison Hensley | ESPN.com This isn't an unusual move for Tomlin. He has traditionally cut out a practice in June and often takes his team bowling. Chemistry is still a big part of a team's success, and outings like this can build camaraderie. Some teams take it for granted, but you need to continue to stress this because there is turnover with each NFL team every year. When I was a beat reporter covering the Ravens, I remember players organizing fishing trips or paintball outings. These days, it seems like the Steelers value chemistry more than most teams in the league.http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/49033/tomlin-gives-steelers-a-fun-break-today ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I agree ... the Steelers do value chemistry, and that's why I've been concerned with Ben's comments regarding Haley and the offense. Get on board Ben, get on board. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass. | |

Agreed. This was a major philosphy of Noll. I think this is one of the reasons the 70's teams were so successful -- that and the compilation of talent (let's face it -- I probably could have coached the team back then and won superbowls with all of that talent). I think Ben is going to be fine. I think that if they don't do well this year, it is going to be because of ALL of the major changes (not just because of Haley). _________________ | |
