12 Monkeys

Anyone going to check out 12 Monkeys? It premieres Friday night on Syfy. I'm pumped.

Apparently you are the only 1.

I've got a few shows that I'm loyal to and none of them are on Friday nights.

12 Monkeys is a sci-fi show dealing with a virus wiping out most humans, and future humans going back in time before the outbreak. It's based on the Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt movie of the same name. In the movie, Bruce Willis was sent back not to change anything, but to track down the people who created the virus and secure the cure to help the future humans. They weren't interested in stopping what was going to happen. I loved the movie, but I don't know how much the TV show will stray from the movie's plot. It looks really good though. If you enjoy sci-fi and time travel, give it a shot.

I have a DVR and I recorded Impact as well as 12 Monkeys. Haven't seen it yet, so I'm still pending judgment.

I was satisfied with the first episode. Actually, it was even better than I expected. They kept some elements of the movie and changed others. As with any new show, the first episode just sets everything up, but the previews for upcoming episodes looked awesome.

Getting ready to watch the third episode. I was a little disappointed in the second episode. It wasn't horrible, just kinda blah. Hopefully this episode picks back up.

Shows actually pretty decent. I haven't watched the most recent episode, but I'm hooked.

Third episode was much better than the second. I'm a little confused about some things that happened in the future, so I might have to watch it again.

Looks like this show has slid down the list of viewing.

However, I've got to say I'm intrigued with where the show has gone and it continues to keep me entertained and focused.

With Ramsey's recent jump to save a family that wouldn't exist if the plague was stopped, it certainly added a twist I wasn't expecting. I hope they don't wrap this up too soon and just end it. That would be a travesty.

Unbelievable finish to the season, the only thing that sucks is the fact the show won't kick off again until 2016.

I haven't seen the last episode yet. Hopefully I'll get to watch it today or tomorrow.

OK, I watched the finale. I'm confused. This is a show where I'll have to go back and watch the entire season again.

We finally got an introduction to who the 12 Monkeys are. I like how the show has gone in a completely different direction than the movie, yet still tips its hat to the movie. The final scene on the plane was similar to the ending of the movie. The good news is that they said the show will return in 2016. I was concerned that it wouldn't see another season because the ratings haven't been too good.

it's cable. Very few cable shows get great ratings. I'm guessing they're hoping for word of mouth to help promote it.

The ratings were really low even for cable. I've seen plenty of cable shows canceled with better ratings. They must have confidence that a lot more people will discover it.
