Looks like they moved NE v. Hou into the Sunday night game and left us at 1.

They also tank home games vs us, in either case I'm down for taking them on at full strength, I don't want any excuses from their fanbase when we whip them

I don't care what Bengals fans say, I want to get that 5th seed

We don't have a lot of room for error. We need to win, regardless of the circumstances.

Steelers apparently can afford to lose this week as 1 of their last 4 if the Jets lose 1 out of 4 and that loss is to an AFC Team (Jax, Pats*, @Buffalo)
If the Chiefs, Jets and Steelers all finish 11-5, the Chiefs would be the No. 5 seed because they beat the Steelers. Because the Steelers and Jets did not play and the Jets did not play the Chiefs, the next tiebreaker (conference record) is applied. The Steelers and Jets would both finish with 8-4 conference records.
It then goes to common games. The Steelers would win the final wild card because they would have a 4-1 record against Cleveland, Indianapolis, Oakland and New England while the Jets would be 3-2 against those teams.
However, if the Jets and Steelers both finish 10-6 and the Jets’ loss comes against the Cowboys the Jets would get in based on better conference record.
ESPN playoff machine also gets Steelers the 6 seed if they tie the Jets and Jets loss is not to the Cowboys
But the Steelers lose a 10-6 tiebreaker to the Bills

These next 2 games are going to say a lot about where this team belongs in talks for Super Bowl contenders. They're both the #1 and #2 seed as it stands right now.

I think between this game and the denver game the cinci game might be the easiest to win. we need to take one of the next 2 then win the rest.

Good post. I was playing with the Playoff Machine over lunch today and found the same thing except I think we need to win out.

I think the Bengals game will be tougher IMO. Both not easy contests but Denver doesn't scare me much. Osweiler can't hang with Ben if it becomes a shootout, and we score a lot of points at home

I actually think the Broncos will be our easiest win. Kubiak's playcalling under Brock is very predictable. Our offense just needs to get it going early, we can't afford drop catchable balls by our receivers.

The bills will not go 10-6

Agree, their defense is nasty though. But if the o-line keeps playing the way they are, I like our chances against them.
If we beat the Bengals I think we can run the table and finish at 11-5. Denver at home is very winnable, and our team isn't going to overlook the Ravens, I'd imagine they're still pissed off over the Scobee game. And the browns are the browns.

both games are winnable with our offense. Its on the D to generate a couple turnovers in each game and we could win both.

If not we can always hire Jeff Gillooly and Shawn Eckhardt to pay A.J. a visit.
Somebody might want to get that Kickstarter campaign going now for insurance.

I got $50 for them if they pay a visit to #41 for the Steelers. That will help their chances of beating the Bengals.

Basically, if we run the table, we get in. That should be the goal. No scoreboard watching.

And if we can't run the table, we're not a threat in the playoffs anyway

I was thinking maybe a separate fundraiser to hire a different guy(?) who could take him out of the picture for a prolonged period without hurting him.
Actually... that one may do it for free.
