I can't believe this. Only a couple of days before they would celebrate the 50th birthday of The Immaculate Reception. I'm absolutely crushed by this news.

Shocked and saddened by this news. My brother, also a Steelers fan (because I converted him decades ago), texted me with the news.

Shocked and saddened best describes my feelings too GR. I've been mad enough to threaten to never watch another game but in 45+ years I've only shed a tear twice. That was when Mike Webster passed and this morning when I heard about Franco. I wasn't aware that he had any serious health issues. Just plain sad. He was not only a great player but a great man as well.

Franco Harris immaculate reception was Franco's 1st post season TD reception, Terry's 1st post season TD pass and get this the real kicker it was the Pittsburgh Steelers organization's 1st post season Touchdown.
A history making play, a fumbling Steelers team 2 years later won 4 Superbowls in 6 years.
