Welcome to Steelers Xtreme.
This isn't just another Steelers message board. It's a place to hang out and have fun. That's why we have so many off-topic forums. It isn't just a Steelers board ... it's a community.
To ensure a fun environment for everyone, please adhere to the following rules:
1. Do not post illegal or pornographic content. Pornographic content also includes nudity and sexually suggestive images. What constitutes "sexually suggestive" will be left to the discretion of the admins and mods. We're bound by Forumotion's Terms of Service, so when it comes to racy pics, we will always err on the side of caution.
2. Do not personally attack other members. Attack an argument, not the poster. Flaming and baiting will not be tolerated, except with obvious trolls. If you have an issue with another member, we'll allow you to work it out yourselves, unless a mod or admin is asked to intervene. But if it becomes too disruptive to the rest of the board, we will step in.
3. Do not make posts with the intent of driving traffic to another website. This does not apply to active members who post their material for discussion and link to their website. This applies to someone who comes here solely to promote their product or website. Those posts will be deleted. An exception will be made for charitable causes. If you're not sure whether it's OK to post a link, whether in a post or in your sig, ask an admin.
4. All articles posted must include a source link. Do not post whole articles ... just a few paragraphs with a link to the original source.
5. Make posts in the appropriate categories. If a topic doesn't seem to fit into any of the categories, post it in the Odds and Ends forum.
6. Swearing will be allowed, but don't make it excessive. And try to keep it to a minimum in the Steelers forum.
7. Hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated. It is OK to have differing viewpoints, but discussions must be respectful and civilized.
8. Do not post links to game streams.
9. Don't start redundant threads. If the Steelers sign a player, we don't need 5 threads to discuss it. Before starting a thread, please do a quick search to see if someone has already posted it.
10. Stay on topic. This isn't a hard and fast rule. We understand that sometimes a conversation will go in a different and unexpected direction. We also allow for some clowning around. But if other members are trying to have a serious discussion, please respect that and don't hijack the thread.
11. Be considerate when it comes to the size of your avatar and sig pic. There's not a specific size they need to be, but please use some common sense. If they're too large to the point where they're distracting, you will be asked to remove them.
12. If you post a pic that exceeds the width of the forum, please edit and delete it.
13. Do not create multiple accounts. If you want to change your user name, PM an admin. If you want a fresh start with a different account, please notify an admin. When discovered, multiple accounts may be deleted.
14. If you have an issue with the manner in which a mod or admin is handling his or her duties, please address the issue via PM, and not on the board.
What we're striving for here at Steelers Xtreme is to have a fun place to hang out and talk about the Black and Gold, as well as our other interests. It's OK to disagree and debate, but please do so respectfully. Remember, your chances of changing someone's mind on an Internet message board are slim. So have fun with debates, but don't take them too seriously. And keep in mind ... everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Violation of any of the above rules will result in a warning or ban.
