Subject: How Did You Come Up With Your Username? Sun Oct 23, 2011 12:30 pm
I originally started using this username many years ago on AIM to upset my brother. He was always competitive at everything, even bowling. One year in high school, we both joined the bowling team (don't laugh, it was free bowling twice a week.) While he was a much better bowler than I was, he could never break 200. One day, I happened to score a 229 and proceeded to rub it in his face. Later on, my grandfather then suggested that I put that number into my username so he'll have to see it all the time. Ever since then, I've used it as my username everywhere else.

I drive a Ford Ranger and I use to have a wrap on the back window with a lot of the key players from the 2004-05 team. then on the tailgate I had '60 minutes, 53 men, 1 nation, STEELERS NATION'

Wallace looks like an obvious reference to Mike Wallace, but that's only half true.
I was a huge fan of the TV show Lost. All of the characters on the show were associated with numbers. In one episode, there was a character referenced but never shown ... Wallace 108. It was around the time I joined SF, so I thought that would be a great way to pay tribute to both Lost and the Steelers.

Steel for Steelers... lax since I played lacrosse... and 4 has been my number for almost every sport I've played. Merged them, dropped one of the L's so everyone thinks it's Steel Ax.

Worked in Steel mills to get through college. I thought it sounded cool blastfurness and being a Steeler fan kinda went hand to hand. Let me tell ya those furnesses can get pretty freakin hot and if you ask Wallace 108 he could tell you some stories about my temper
