Beavis and Butt-Head Is Back! What's New? What's Old? By Adam Bryant | TV Guide – 21 hours ago
Ready for more Beavis and Butt-Head? MTV hopes so, as the cable network is re-launching the animated series from Mike Judge nearly two decades after its original debut. But will the show, which thrived in the '90s — when the M in MTV still stood for music — work today? Judge and MTV President Van Toffler, a self-described B and B fanatic, think so. Here's how they plan to bring the chuckling chuckleheads into the 21st century.

The DVR is set and ready to go!
All I need now is some T.P. for my bunghole.

Oh my lord that brings back memories. Way back when, I flew out to CA to party with this girl for a week. One night we decided to head down to Oakland and catch the Grateful Dead. One thing led to another and we ended up eating a bunch of LSD. Long story short the night ended with the two of us on the floor in her living room watching MTV, laughing, fooling around, and that Beavis and Butthead episode came on. I literally laughed until I cried. I'm sure the chemicals played a large part, but it certainly seemed hysterical at the time.

I just watched it on DVD a couple of weeks ago. I'm here to let you know it still stands the test of time.
Of course I was a bit altered at the time as well.

My next-door neighbor can do a spot on impersonation of Butt-Head. I can do a passable impersonation of Bevis. One night this summer, we sat out in my garage drinking beer for hours and talking only in our Bevis and Butt-Head voices. My wife called us a couple of immature assholes. That's what we were shooting for.
I'll be interested to see how the show does. I think the reason it was so successful is because it was one of the first mainstream animated shows aimed at adults. But after shows like South Park and Family Guy, I'm not sure B & B will hold up. I hope it does though.

I think it will be a hit again. A lot of people seem to be excited about it returning. I just hope Mike Judge isn't lazy and trying for the money-grab. If he puts effort into it, and with the boundaries being pushed even more with shows like South Park and Family Guy, it'll be interesting to see where he goes with it.

I watched the first episode of the new Beavis and Butthead and it ruled! Beavis is even allowed to chant "Fire!" again! I definitely missed those two immature, juvenile delinquents. Hey waitaminute...... that sounds awful familiar?
My favorite line of the episode? "He can get a job washing dishes with one hand."

My only disappointment? No metal videos.
Another great line:
He's like, "Never shoulda sent that kid to Hogwart's."

We really are sharing a brain huh? Just edited my post with that lol.
I'm sure they'll get to some metal videos though. Jon told me last night that he didn't even want to watch it b/c he didn't think there would be any videos in it at all. If I can get him to watch it, I'm sure he'll be ticked about that too.

This damn brain of ours is getting spread really thin around here. Pretty soon we'll all have to get lobotomies to smarten up.
I'm sure the metal videos are coming too. I wasn't sure if they'd have the videos either. Nice surprise coupled with the whole "Fire!" return.
