Browns sore from Ravens, prep for Steelers

BEREA, Ohio — Quarterback Colt McCoy used the handrail as he gingerly walked down the steps Monday, the lingering result of a weekend encounter with Baltimore's merciless defense.

McCoy's right knee is sprained.

The Browns, on the other hand, appear broken.

One day after being flattened by the Ravens, who rushed for 290 yards in a 24-10 thumping of Cleveland that wasn't nearly that close, the Browns (4-8) began assessing the extensive damage from a defeat at the hands one of the AFC North's co-leaders.

There's little time for review. The Steelers, undoubtedly smelling brown and orange blood in the water, are next — on Thursday.

"It's quick," Browns coach Pat Shurmur said of the short turnaround.

Sadly, it won't be painless.

"It's going to be real tough," cornerback Sheldon Brown said. "Both are physical football teams and you know they're going to have a physical presence throughout the contest."

35-10 sounds about right. I'd be shocked if this is even a game after the first quarter.

I was thinking about 31-9. Almost the same, but no TDs for the Shitstains.

Don't they play the ratbirds again? I bet if you ask a browns fan, they'd choose to beat the ratbirds more than the Steelers. I could be wrong, but seeing as how they got shafted and baltimore took their team...

I can speak for only the Browns fans I know here in Northeast Ohio ...

For a number of years, the Ravens replaced the Steelers as their most hated team. But time has healed that wound to a certain degree, at least enough to allow the Steelers to become their most hated team once again.

This was a question I enjoyed asking a lot of Browns fans when the Steelers and Ravens played in the AFC Championship game: So, who are you rooting for ... Steelers or Ravens?

To a person, the answer was: Not the Steelers. There are probably more Steelers fans than Browns fans in this area, so I'm sure that adds to their hatred.

All I know is that with 'blood' in the water, the Steelers need to end this one early!!!
