No Pouncey or Ben against SF

I'm calling it now. Pouncey had 2 weeks to rest a high ankle sprain before the Super Bowl and couldn't go.

I think Ben will play!

Pouncey, he's most likely out because of being a linemen and the constant bending over and hard pushing he has to do.

Don't think either of them need too. There's a chance we could take the division, but more than likely we won't. So In all reality we're really just playing for a playoff spot and they might clinch that this weekend. If so I could see the Steelers takign some time to get healthy.

I can't say what will happen, only what I think should happen ...

Pouncey should sit. Legursky fills in well at center, so they'll be fine with him in there. I'm torn on Ben, but I'm leaning toward him sitting as well. Batch looked rusty as hell, and I doubt Dixon would have looked any better. It wouldn't be a bad thing to get one of them in there and work off the rust ... just in case we need them later.

I say sit Pouncey to get him healthy. It gives Kemo more opportunities to prove to the coaching staff that he is useless and needs to go next year and Legursky will do fine. Win-win.

If Ben can go, I'd like to see him out there. This game is the toughest one we have left in the regular season. If we can muster a win, there's always a chance the Ravens choke it up against San Diego or Cinci to give us the division. Sit Ben against the Rams and Browns if necessary. We should be able to find a way to beat those teams with Batch/Dixon somehow.

Wednesday night, my wife sat on Benny's tail (Benny our temporary squirrel) and it tore of about an inch of his tail So because Benny was named after Ben Roethlisberger, it's apparent they are somehow connected. I'm just hoping that today's releasing of our squirrels doesn't correlate to any worse damage to our boys in Black and Gold.
