Subject: Favorite Hockey Player off all-time? Sat Jan 28, 2012 1:43 pm
Has to be some one you remember watching.... So I can't say "Bobby Orr" or "Stan Mikita"
For me it was a guy Boston traded Al Pederson to the Vancouver Canucks for this guy. I remember his first games a total bruiser, but wasn't a real goal scorer at the time. Anyone that ever got to see him would know he brought it every game. I still despise Ulf Samuelsson for that hit!

I have to be a totally predictable homer and pick Lemieux. I tried really hard to not make the most cliche pick, but I just have to. Being able to watch him play at the Igloo will always be some of the greatest highlights of my youth.
Greatest player ever, IMO.

Darius Kasparaitis was my favorite player to watch. He was small and fierce. You never knew when he was gonna make a big hit, but you knew it might change the momentum of a game. He had arguably the best hip-check in the NHL. You hated when he was playing against you, but loved having him on your team. He battled with the best players in the game including the Pens' own Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr. He fought with Mark Messier and had his greatest hit on Eric Lindros. I always watched where he was on the ice. With the loss this week, it sure is fun to watch a Flyer have to be carried off the ice

I grew up watching the capitals, and my favorite player was Rod Langway.
