Did anyone else catch the series premier of this show? I thought it was pretty awesome and incredibly tense and creepy. It's about a mother and son who set out with a film crew and other personnel to attempt to find their husband/father nature show host who has gone missing in a remote part of the Amazon after going on a search for "magic". After they give up hope when he is missing for over 6 months, his tracking beacon goes off and they decide to try to find him.
The search is filmed as part of a reality show and they set off with their crew and locate his missing ship. That's where the weirdness begins when they unwittingly unleash an entity of some sort that was welded into a panic room on the abandoned ship inside of a tribal baby's coffin. The entity gets a taste of blood and then begins to hunt the crew as they search for the missing host and his crew.
This one has me hooked right off the bat. It is definitely strange and eerie and it comes off as a cross between a reality show and the movies "Paranormal Activity", "I Spit on Your Grave" and "The Blair Witch Project". I recommend any horror/suspense buffs out there to check it out.

I had this on my list of shows to watch last fall. I was really looking forward to it. But then I got hooked on a few other shows, and I can watch only a few things at a time because of my goofball schedule. If I keep hearing great things about it, I might have to make time to watch it.

The 2-hour premier was pretty kick-ass. I think there's only 6 more episodes from the commercials I saw. I don't know if it's just a mini-series or if it's a tryout period for a longer term series. You should try to locate and watch the premier and get on it since it's not going to last long (at least not initially).
I'm Thinking Mom, Jon and Bayz may like this one as well.

I have (sadly) never even heard of this show. Sounds like it has potential!
Off to pirate bay I go!

I think you'll dig it. Surprised you haven't heard of it. It's been advertised for a long time now. I even managed to catch it and I usually record and forward through all the commercials for most of my TV watching.

Yeah, I don't have cable or regular TV out here...so I don't hear about some TV shows as quick as others (or at all sometimes) unless it's on Hulu or Netflix.

Haha! No, they do offer cable out here now...but I've done without it for so long that I'll never be willing to pay for it again. And as far as regular TV goes, we just never got the converter box when we moved here, b/c that's just for basic network stations and anything I want to watch on those stations is available on Hulu or the network sites. I don't mind it too much. We pay about $55 for our internet and Netflix. Going to get Hulu+ soon, so tack on $8 to that. Anything else I want to watch I just download torrents.

It's available on Hulu for free...if you don't want to worry about adware and viruses. http://www.hulu.com/the-river
Checking it out tonight!
What the fuck? I have Hulu+ on PS3 and it's not even on there
If that ain't a bitch
Also, most of the links provided on ProjectFreeTv are virus free, and the one's that have viruses aren't posted. I worked with them a few months ago to get it going.

I have no clue. I don't have Hulu+ yet, and the only reason I searched Hulu was because I saw it was an ABC show (it's probably available on their site as well).
I don't know about that site, per say, but I know sites like that often carry malware. Most of the time I don't worry about it, b/c we mostly use Linux...but I've used similar sites before and had undesirable results (mostly with the quality and playback).
Sorry if I was being a bit of a pretentious bitch about it...that's just how I get sometimes.

Ah! I see it now. And nah, your cool, i've gotten plenty of trojan viruses and malware threats through similar websites, and even streaming website's.

The 4th episode was kinda weak, but this past episode with the ghost ship was pretty creepy.

I haven't watched the latest episode yet, but you're right, the 4th wasn't as exciting as the others. It's still a riveting show, though I do see some flaws at times. I'm definitely in it to win it this season and will watch all episodes to see where it goes.
