The Steelers never came close to drafting the twin brother of Maurkice Pouncey in the first round, so they did the next best thing by drafting one of his best friends on the second round.
Marcus Gilbert, a strapping offensive tackle and former Pouncey twins teammate at the University of Florida, is a 6 feet 6, 330 pound tackle who started the past two years for the Gators on both sides and also has played both guard spots.
"He and Maurkice are best buds,'' Steelers line coach Sean Kugler said. "There's chemistry there.''

| Great pick, next best thing to Mike Pouncey and considerably cheaper. _________________ "Nobody knows why you go to a picnic to be uncomfortable when it is so easy and pleasant to eat at home."

I don't know much about him, but I like the fact he has chemistry with Pouncey. That can only help. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass. | |

This is good though, the Steelers actually drafted 3 players addressing their 3 biggest concerns going into the upcoming season. They didn't do it in the order I would have, but they did it in the order that presented the best players at the best value for them. Good draft so far. _________________ "Nobody knows why you go to a picnic to be uncomfortable when it is so easy and pleasant to eat at home."

| I also like the kid's reported versatility. He's played every position on the line at Florida except center... and I think we have that covered. _________________ -"I stand corrected...
