Well, for once, most of my picks were right.
I called the Hardy, Dollaway, and Struve fights dead on correct. The Nelson and Velasquez fights I think technically ended in TKOs/ref stoppages instead of KOs, but I was really close. Junior, although I was right about the winner, actually finished Mir by TKO instead of the decision I expected.
I was wrong about Mike Brown who looked much better than his last few fights I've seen him in. I was wrong about Barboza beating Varner who looks to have regained his confidence and explosiveness he had when he was a WEC champion. I was also wrong about del Rosario who looked good early, but was beaten down in the second round.
It was a damn good card top to bottom with some nice action, KOs, submissions, and a couple of blood baths (man, that Cain/Bigfoot fight was messy!).
I look for Cain Velasquez to get his rematch for the heavyweight title against Junior next up after his dominating performance against Silva. Hopefully, Cain will fight his fight this time against Junior and try to take it to the ground instead of standing with him again.
