Steelers' Harrison will not play Sunday

Pro Bowl linebacker James Harrison did not practice for the second day in a row and will not play in Sunday night's season opener in Denver.

He will be replaced in the starting lineup by Chris Carter, who has been working at right outside linebacker since minicamp because of injuries to Harrison (knee) and top backup Jason Worilds (wrist).

I guess it really comes as no surprise. Carter is the next man up I suppose.

I cant believe I'm gonna say this but I'm actually happy that he won't be playing tonight, give him a few more weeks and play him when he's 100% healthy IMO

I agree. We need Harrison healthy in the long run for a playoff push. No use burning him up in the first game or two. Let's just hope Chris Carter and Jason Worilds are up to the task of getting James' back.
