| I don't think firing him would solve anything right now. If we did then who would you put in to replace him with. _________________ | |

| I'm not even going to entertain this thought right now. I'll leave it to someone else. _________________ "Either you're playing dumb, or it's not an act". -Judge Judy

Welcome to the board. Don't hold back, say what you really think. Even if ity makes absolutely NO SENSE!!! This may be LeBeau's last year but Tomlin will be here. Bank on it. Besides we're 6 games in.

| Won't and shouldn't happen. Tomlin has his weaknesses and ups and downs, but he's earned this job and has made us a contender every year he's been here thus far. Firing him now would be waving the surrender flag and starting a rebuilding process that could last years.
We are close to having a Super Bowl contender right now. It has to be factored in that he's dealing with a large personnel turnover on the defensive side of the ball with having lost veterans Aaron Smith, James Farrior (our on-field D leader), and William Gay. He's also got several often injured vets currently that have further complicated the other losses in Troy Polamalu, James Harrison, Jason Worilds, and LaMarr Woodley. And let's face it, they had no business bringing back Casey Hampton who should have been shown the door with Farrior and Smith.
Couple all of that with losing an offensive team leader and heart and soul of the team like Hines Ward and numerous running back and o-line injuries, and anyone would be struggling a little. This doesn't even speak on the fact we have a new o-coordinator with a new system that they are learning. That's a lot to have to deal with in one season and the F.O. is just as responsible for the defensive mess by getting away from the Steeler way of releasing guys a year early instead of a year or two late.
Tomlin deserves the opportunity to right this ship in the next couple of drafts. We need to focus heavily on defense now and not miss on many picks. He's earned that much minimally. We (and HE) will be fine. _________________ -"I stand corrected... But I absolutely and wholeheartedly fart in the general direction of almost every other thing you have posted to this point."-

There are 32 coaches in the NFL. Only 11 of them have taken their teams to a Super Bowl. Only 6 have won a Super Bowl. And only 4 have taken their teams to multiple Super Bowls. Tomlin is one of them. There have been only 3 Steelers coaches in the past 40+ years. They don't fire coaches because of a down year (and we don't even know yet if this is a down year ... it wouldn't be the first time we started slowly but then rebounded to have a good year). So not only should they not fire Tomlin, there's no chance of them even considering it. But just out of curiosity, why do you think they should? _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass.
