I normally wouldn't jump all over this, but......I want Dwyer as our starter. He's had two games to prove himself worthy of more playing time, and he's outperformed any running back we've had since Parker in his two games. Give the young man the job.

Game Balls
Dwyer: He ran well again. Back-to-back 100-yard games. I'm still not buying into the Bettis comparisons, but he's looking really good.
Ben: His throws were on the money. He took what the defense gave him and played a mistake-free game.
O-Line: This might be the best game I've seen them play in years. At some point in the game, I realized that I wasn't even paying attention to them. That's a good thing. Wallace: Not a great game, but he bounced back from his drops last week. He made a hell of a catch in the endzone that was ruled out of bounds. I need to see it again, but it looked like a TD on the only replay I saw.
Will Allen: He made some big hits and played really well this week. He reminded me a little of Clark back there.
Goats
Whoever decided to fire Al Everest: Our special teams are killing us. They need to get it figured out. Now!
A. Brown: He's not a goat for his offensive performance. He's a goat for his showboating on his punt return. He needs to knock it off and act like he's been there before.

I'm quickly getting tired of his showboating in general. He needs to stop doing the Santonio ball point and drop. I'm OK with it on really big plays, but it's unnecessary after just about every catch. Turning around and running backwards on the punt return was REALLY unnecessary. Sanders is beginning to look like the class act out of the three young receivers.

Of course he's the "class act". He's the third stringer looking to come out on top. I'm not worried about anything as long as they're contributing.

GOAT: People who post clips from Madden games on YouTube. I HATE when I'm searching for clips from, you know, real games ... and my searches keep bringing up Madden clips. Hey gamers ... no one gives a shit. Go outside and throw a real football. I'm not anti-video games. I'm anti-people-who-take-them-way-too-seriously.

I didn't jump all over Redman when he ran one 100-yard game, but Dwyer's done it twice.

"Asked if he knows it's an automatic foul if you run backwards into the end zone, Brown said, "No, I had no clue. I did the same thing when I took one back on Oakland, and I didn't see a flag. I gotta get better on that." Indeed. Of course, it won't matter if his teammates keep holding on his big returns."

I could be wrong, but in the Oakland game, I think he did it for just a few yards. Plus, it was the replacement refs. He just needs to knock off the showboating altogether.
Remember this INT by Anthony Smith? Watch how the coaches reacted. Someone needs to do this to Brown.

Apparently it's okay to summersault into the back of the endzone, but walking backwards is NOT.
Wallace used to do that, and it drove me nuts. I'm not sure why it wasn't a penalty, but aside from that, it's stupid because there's a risk of injury. I guess I'm just old school and prefer the Barry Sanders style of "celebration."

Game ball goes to Ben for his excellent play. Honorable mentions go to Johnny D., Heath, Mikey, and the offensive line. Goat goes to punt return in which they got two penalties for stupid stuff that didn't need to happen.

Extensive celebrations after simple plays should be penalized, but touchdowns like Brown's shouldn't. He's worked his ASS off to make things happen, and for nothing. Nothing at all. Let the man celebrate. His effort alone is more than anyone else on the team that I can name.

I don't have a problem with him celebrating, but do it after the play so you don't get in trouble like he did today. I just don't want him getting in trouble that could cost him a touchdown, catch, etc.

The problem is that he started celebrating before he scored a touchdown.

I didn't see the flash out there, i'd say it was set in stone he was crossing the goal line.

Yeah, but it's still taunting, and it's going to draw a flag every time. We don't need stupid penalties. He says he didn't know ... well, now he does. So hopefully that's the last time we see it.

The rules are so nit-picky and retarded. You can't have fun. I prefer the Heath Miller style "Another day on the job" above all, but I disagree with limiting players to what they can or cannot do.

I remember the days before there were excessive celebration or taunting penalties. When they first put the rules in place, I hated them. But now that I've gotten older, I don't have a problem with them. I don't have a problem with celebrating a touchdown, but it's not necessary to taunt the other team. And that's what Brown did. He wasn't celebrating ... he was taunting. And they can still have fun ... scoring touchdowns IS fun.

Not very smart of Antonio Brown. What makes a person think that taunting like that wouldn't get flagged?

One more strong game and I'll jump on the bandwagon....it's also worth mentioning, the line has played extremely well the past two weeks.
