| He says it now, but I really think it depends on how well they do in the playoffs. _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available! | |

Maybe they'll beat the Colts, but that's it. | I think right now, Steelers fans are feeling the same way ratbird fans felt when Hines Ward announced his retirement last season. _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available!

So far my favorite Facebook post on his retirement is: "'At least we still have Joe Flacco' -said no one ever" _________________ Wallace108: Jon, how the hell do you expect any of us to ever follow your posts? | This should probably be posted on the NFL board, but I thought this was big news and it does affect the Steelers (makes he Ravens D even less effective) Anyway.....he's leaving the Ravens. In all honesty, he is one hell of a football player and possibly one of the greatest linebackers of all time. See ya Ray Ray......This fan tips her hat to you.. (Do ya'll think we may see him on the Home Shopping Network selling knives with that other dude now??? Sorry.....couldn't resist one last "stab" HAHAHAH OMG I'm cracking myself up!!! Next football season, Ray Lewis will be on the sideline, perhaps saving up his pregame speeches — motivational, to be sure, but sometimes indecipherable in their ferocity — for his son’s first season at the University of Miami. It is almost impossible to imagine the N.F.L. without Lewis, without the eyeblack streaked across his face, without his wild dances as he emerged from the stadium tunnel, without his punishing hits read more.........http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/03/sports/football/ray-lewis-ferocious-face-of-ravens-and-nfl-is-retiring.html?_r=0 _________________

Nice article. I feel confident in saying that when Ben retires there will be plenty of mentions about the rape allegations against him and very little said about his charity work, or how he re-imaged himself. _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available!

I mean, he walks on Baltimore's waters, doesn't he? I'm sorry, can't agree that he is the "greatest" of all time. I'll take Mean Joe anyday. Mean Joe had "it" PLUS class (something Lewis sorely lacks). NOW I know what ray ray will be doing in the offseason. He'll be out with OJ trying to find his mysteriously vanished white suit he was wearing the night of the murders and trying to find the real killers. _________________

Yeah exactly, he's so humble he didn't even wait until the season was over to announce his retirement. He just couldn't have the media focus on their team. He had to be in the spotlight.

| Careful, Jon. Don't ever repeat Ray Lewis' name like that while looking into a mirror. He'll appear behind you and stab you to death. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass. | |
