- Giants release Bradshaw
By The Associated Press
The Giants continued their roster purge after missing the playoffs, cutting leading rusher Ahmad Bradshaw and defensive tackle Chris Canty.
The salary cap-saving moves on Wednesday came one day after New York let starting weakside linebacker Michael Boley go after four seasons.
Bradshaw, Canty and Boley were veterans who contributed to the Giants' Super Bowl win over the Patriots** a year ago, but they had big contracts and battled injuries.
Bradshaw, who has had knee and ankle injuries, was to earn $4.25 million. He became expendable with the play of rookie David Wilson. Canty, who had knee issues with the Giants after never missing a game with Dallas, was to earn $6.5 million next season. Boley, who had shoulder and hamstring injuries last season, was to make $4 million this season.
The 26-year-old Bradshaw, who played on two Super Bowl championship teams with the Giants, led the team in rushing each of the past three seasons, gaining 1,015 this past season.

| Bradshaw, who has had knee and ankle injuries, this would concern me but all players have some kind of injury. He is a hard nose runner that is for sure but if he would come a decent price then hey why not. _________________ | |

| I'd get him for 2 mil a year, I don't think we can afford to pay him more than that And he's only 26 _________________ F@(k Wallace.. Throw it to Miller

| I think he can be that 'change of pace' back we once had. The bruiser style who when he gets outside can turn it up.
However, it's also got knee injuries and that doesn't bode well for a RB in our system (at least as of late). _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available!

| I don't see him coming here and I agree we don't need more injury prone RBs. | |

- Former New York Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw Now Receiving Interest
It wasn’t clear as to what the future held for former New York Giants’ RB Ahmad Bradshaw. Sure, he was definitely going to be playing football in 2013. He’s been productive since entering the league as a seventh-round draft pick out of Marshall back in 2007. However, since Bradshaw was cut by the Giants in February, there haven’t been many reports of potential destinations for Bradshaw.
Not anymore! ESPN’s NFL contributor Adam Schefter tweeted the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers are interested in pursuing Bradshaw.

| I wouldn't mind Bradshaw. I think he's better than anything we have currently. _________________ Twitter: @SteelersYak

- Ahmad Bradshaw, Pittsburgh Steelers to meet, again
By Dan Hanzus
The Pittsburgh Steelers' extended dance with Ahmad Bradshaw continues.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that the Steelers plan to bring the free-agent running back in for a second visit prior to the 2013 NFL Draft.
The Steelers want to check in on the status of Bradshaw's surgically repaired right foot, according to a source informed of the team's plans. If everything checks out, the team will make an attempt to sign the running back.

I don't see why we need Bradshaw. I'm comfortable with the RBs we have on roster. I'm more concerned about getting o-linemen that can move people, make holes, and protect our QB. _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available!

| Bengals have expressed interest in RB Ahmad Bradshaw; a visit could occur in the next week or two.

I would love to have him because he could give the a much needed spark to an underachieving running game. If you look at New York's offensive line the past couple of years, it has been weaker than years past. However, he's still been able to find holes, make great players, and has had two one thousand yard rushing seasons. He could also help out in the passing game by becoming another receiver for Ben. He can also catch the ball as well. He is a complete upgrade compared to Issac and Johnny.

- Ahmad Bradshaw gets full medical clearance
No running backs were taken in the first round of the draft for the first time since 1963.
They figure to start coming off the board on Friday, but teams that don’t find what they’re looking for in the backfield in the draft will have a veteran option to add to the mix once the draft comes to a close. PFT has learned from a league source that running back Ahmad Bradshaw has received full medical clearance to resume all football activities after having surgery on his troublesome foot earlier in the offseason.
Bradshaw had to have a screw from a previous operation replaced with another one, something that’s kept him from working out for teams that might be interested in signing him. One of those teams is the Steelers, who had Bradshaw in for a visit already.
