Wally said bacon... hmmm... Fried green tomatoes...??? It's a food from the Great Depression. The basic recipe is the best. The only clue that doesn't fit is "tomatoes" (tomatoes and tomatoes???). Wait... Popcorn!!! It became popular during the Depression (because it was cheap). The basic version is best. And, as my uncle has always taught me: popcorn goes best with a cold glass of tomato juice.

Incorrect, but your uncle is getting you to think about the the right state of things. I have a feeling your next guess will be a little warmer... _________________ Twitter: @SteelersYak

I think soup might be the correct answer. In case it isn't, I'll throw bread out there. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass.

| @teegre I like your reasoning. Every time you respond I'm certain you've nailed it. This time is no exception. If grilled cheese sandwich isn't the answer, I've got nothing better to offer. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass. | |

Good job with the reasoning teegre. We make a good team. You're the tomato soup; I'm the grilled cheese.

| It's obviously a Titan, and the Titans played one season in Memphis. So, I figured it was a player who either played before (Blanda) or after that year.
Hmmm...
Big blue is the nickname for Kentucky, but the wonderful part makes me think it's something else...
