No turnovers by the defense in 8 quarters. They will rank in the bottom 10 when the year is over.
Haley's offense sucks. They will never make the playoffs with him as OC.
Unless they fire him? Keeping Ben is pointless.
You sound like one of the bitter fans at the bar I go to watch the games.
When the wind blows tomorrow, let me know who you'll be cheering for next week.
By the sounds of it, you don't sound like a Steelers fan to me.
I'm a realist.
You're a homer.
Todd Haley has 4 years as an NFL OC, 2 with Arizona, 2 with us.
He has one 9 season.
Homer? I'm anything but a Homer.
I'm just not gung-ho on only blaming the coordinator.
I realize the players have to make plays and when the QB isn't on time with the WR it's not the OC's fault I realize when a defense player is out of position, it's not the DC's fault
If you were a realist, you would have seen how terrible BA's offense was. But then again I guess it's easy to miss that in those Red and White colored glasses

I'm sick.
Embarrassing to lose this badly to the Ratbirds.
The whole team was off and bad. No finger pointing. Just bad and lack of chemistry.
Truck -- you need to be positive for me. Because this is beginning to look like a looooooooong season.

Wally, I always like your analysis of the game.
Seriously, what happened? Possibly signal calling getting mixed up?
Offense: Our biggest problems tonight were costly turnovers and Ben being off. Ben doesn't shake easily (if at all), but I wonder if that early hard hit got to him a little. He didn't look right most of the game.
Defense: To give this the analysis it deserves would take more time than I have right now. Part of the problem is we have a lot of youth, inexperience, and new players. Other than Ike, Troy, and Timmons, everyone else on defense is either a rookie, second-year starter, or new to the defense. It's going to take time for everything to gel. That's really simplifying it.

^^^ That's what I think, too^^^
Can't expect rookies to play like the Wards and Harrisons.
Looking forward to your analysis in the AM (it's all I have to look forward to regarding the Steelers)
I know it's only the second game, but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we get #2, 3, or 4 draft pick this year (if they continue down this slippery slope)
Also maybe, just maybe, Crash has a point???? Is it time for LeBeau to move on?

I won't be on in the morning. Got a rare Friday morning shift. That's why I'm going to bed early tonight. Just looked at the clock. Not as early as I thought.
I appreciate your comments, but you're giving we way too much credit.

Crash makes good points, but he allows his hatred to cloud what he's seeing. We could win 68-3 and Crash would be here after the game bitching about the defense giving up the field goal.

What exactly are YOU seeing?
I see a defense that doesn't make plays. I see a defense who gets their ranking (which is by yards) inflated when the Steelers OFFENSE, holds the ball.
You need to count how many times they open games giving up points, and how many times they give points up, after our own scores.
Those are things our offense can't hide them from. Sooner or later they need to go on the field and make a play.

Dink and dunk. Don't move the pocket, don't go vertical. Nothing.
Guys like you deserve 10 years of Todd Haley.
I hope you get him.
My theory has been to always give a new coordinator 3 years to install their schemes and plays. I've done with every new OC since I can remember. You're so hell bent on ridding this team of Haley you won't even acknowledge that our offense did not execute.
I don't give a rats arse who our coordinator is or what plays are being called. If players don't execute, then we'll still have the same results. Last night was a key example of that, dropped passes, misguided passes, fumbles, and interceptions.
Guys like you deserve to go jump another band wagon. I hope you do. Maybe you can pick and choose which team has your favorite coordinators and pick that one. Like I said last night, you're favorite one is the HC in Arizona. I've heard they're looking for a few fans to jump on.

The problem, is that the game plan sucks.
3rd and 4 from the 8 yard line, we run an end around on the weak side.
You can pay Gradkowski $5 mil a year to hand off on the same play.

After reading through everyone's comments, there are pieces that I agree and disagree with.
Haley has nothing to do with the defense, Haley can't make Marcus Gilbert block better. LeBeau's 3-4 is made for guys like Casey Hampton and Aaron Smith. Can we get a NT that can hold the point of attack? Jarvis Jones has improved somewhat (I'll give him another game or so) .. but he needs to bulk up and live up to that number he is wearing.
Haley isn't perfect, but the execution by THE PLAYERS were atrocious! Players were constantly out of position. No discipline.
I'm not sure what exactly the answer is, but tossing coaches is not the answer (yet).

What the hell?
Ben has run plays his entire CAREER that a QB being paid nickles a year could run, doesn't mean shit. Brady still runs plays a backup could run. Ben had nearly 400 yards passing week one and STILL ran several plays a backup could run.
Next argument...

Ben was one of the best vertical passers in NFL HISTORY.
Until Todd Haley showed up.
