| The Pirates find themselves again in a one game Wild Card winner take all match-up vs. the Giants. Volquez vs. Bumgarner. Last year, the Pirates were able to beat the Reds 6 to 2 to move onto the Division Series where they lost against the Cardinals. In the month of September, they went 17-10 so they certainly are playing some good baseball. The game is at PNC Park which means they will have the home fans behind them. Will the Pirates raise the Jolly Roger tonight?

Should be a nice thriller. Pirates could end up regretting using their best pitcher. Either way, the winner takes on the Gnats and I REALLY want them taken out.

Honestly, I have no issue with Buccos. They've rebuilt their program the past two decades and now have back-to-back playoff seasons (Impressive). I have issue with only three teams: St Louis Cardinals, Dodgers and Nationals. If Pirates win tonight, how could I not root for them?

| Quite the game so far. We have a pitchers' duel as the game is tied at 0-0 in the 4th I believe (no I haven't had any wine.... YET). Bumgarner has definitely looked the better of the 2 pitchers.

| Grand slam. Pirates down 4 to 0. After the grand slam, Volquez shut em down 1-2-3.

| You know, I don't follow MLB at all. I've been to one Pirates game in my entire life, in the 80s. I still like to see my hometown teams win, though.
This game, however, killed me as I can't stand losing to any San Francisco team.
