Steelers vs. Jets (Week 10)

So up next are the Jets. They sure haven't looked very good this year. We are going away from home after having 3 games (and 3 wins) at Heinz. Will the Steelers be able to win away from the big ketchup bottle? Can't we not play down to an opponent? Can we increase the win streak to 4?

If we play down to the Jets, then I'll place ALL the blame on Mike Tomlin. While everyone should be aware of the possibility, it's Tomlin's job to prevent it from happening.

Agree. I don't expect BR7 or the defense to look as good as they have the last 2 weeks but I certainly expect 75% of what we've seen the last two weeks. We've seen what we are capable of, now we just have to keep stacking wins.

I want to see 100% of what we are capable of the rest of the year. I'm pretty sure I predicted 13-3 and I'd love to be right (for a change) Seriously if we play like we have been no one's in our way until the playoffs. I know, PLAYOFFS!!!!! PLAYOFFS!!!

Need a convincing win here to show we are not the same team team that lost to Tampa. We are new and improved Colts/Bmore...

If the Steelers play down to their competition's level, everyone is to blame IMO. The coaching staff and players all need to be held responsible if they don't play well on Sunday.

Mind boggling. Simply mind boggling. Not just the play calling, but everything. From play calling to execution, it looked like the Browns game.

Should we have anticipated this with the two emotional games against the Colts and Ravens? Was the emotion gone?

I could only listen to the game and it sounded as if the Steelers were confused and only played sporadically.

I just posted in another thread that for all the talk about not looking past the Jets, that's exactly what they did. There was ZERO intensity in this game. People can talk about play calling and execution all they want (and yeah, it was horrible), but the one big difference I noticed from the past two weeks is that the team played flat. There was no emotion. Once again, they played like they didn't even want to be there.

Hey man... I don't know what you're talking about...

Agree with you Wallace. This team had no emotion. It looked like they were going through the motions on a Wednesday walkthrough and not playing a game. I was so frustrated watching this game. I didn't understand the offensive play calling (why we went back to turtle shell ball) and the turnovers were killer.
