Posts Against Humanity

I'm just going to set this thread up for now as I would like to get some games going here in the near future.

We did this a few times in the Circle of Jerks group over at SF and had some fun with it. For those of you familiar with the game Cards Against Humanity it's basically the same game.

The way we play it is as follows:


1.) Someone starts the game as the Post Whore (lookin' at you, Trixie!   ).

2.) The Post Whore will ask a question or provide a fill-in-the-blank statement for you to submit an answer for. The way to do this is to send a private message to the Designated Catcher with your witty answer. The Designated Catcher will be a person in the game who will collect all answers and forward them to the Post Whore (sans names). Be as creative, funny, insensitive, and obscene as you like. Politically incorrect answers are HIGHLY encouraged, but please refrain from outright racial, ethnic, or homophobic slurs (you know the ones!).

3.) A round will last until:

   A.) The Designated Catcher/Post Whore receives a minimum of 4 answers up to 8 answers within a 24 hour time span.
   B.) The first 8 answers received are forwarded to the Post Whore for judging (again, sans names). This will be only if 8 answers are received before the 24 hour time limit expires. Anything between 4-8 answers after 24 hours will be submitted.
   C.) A 24 hour time limit is reached. If, after 24 hours we have not received the minimum amount (4) of answers or the Designated Catcher has not forwarded the answers to the Post Whore because he/she is a fucking slacker, a new question will be presented and play will resume from there.

4.)The Post Whore DOES NOT submit an answer as he/she will be the judge, but the Designated Catcher DOES submit an answer.

5.) The Post Whore will then make a post with all of the submitted answers and with his/her choice of favorite one. The Designated Catcher OR actual person who gave that answer will then reveal who the winner was and a point will be awarded for the round.

6.) The person who reveals the winner (Designated Catcher or winner of round) will be responsible for updating the PAH Scoreboard (separate thread in the Funny Farm) which will contain the names of all members who join the game at any time and going forward. This will be done similar to how we do the vote-off games (copy and paste the last list and update the total).

7.) Players can join in and leave at their own discretion. You do NOT have to start at the beginning of the game. Just hop in and answer the current question. There will be no winner or loser, just a running score of where everyone stands.

8.) There is no limit to the amount of people who can play at one time, but only the first 8 answers within 24 hours will be accepted.

9.) The Post Whore will be rotated according to availability. Pay attention to who the Post Whore and Designated Catcher are for each round so the PMs don't get sent to the wrong person! The Post Whore will select a Designated Catcher from the game each round, but make sure it's someone who is here almost daily (Buddha, Wally, Vis, teegre, etc....).

10.) This will be an ongoing game with no real end, just for fun and bragging rights. Enjoy!

Cool! 3 people in already and I had a PM from Mach saying he's interested. I think Wally's in too. I'll try to get a game going sometime by or over the weekend hopefully. These things are difficult to coordinate due to everyone's differing schedules and time zones.

We may tweak the rules to make the games last longer and maybe allow for a day between answers. The Post Whore would be responsible for returning the following day and posting the answers for voting. I don't know, does anyone have any suggestions?

As soon as I figure out the iPad (and a desktop that won't let me quote) issues, I'm definitely in.

Evil Apples is now on Android. I downloaded it myself a few days ago.

Likewise...day/time are key

Sometimes games won't be planned in advance. If enough members happen to be on and want to play.... GAME ON!

I was going to use you in one of the offensive questions if you were absent.

I am off from work tomorrow if anyone is free and interested in giving this a try. The only time they won't be good for me is from about 7 PM to 10 PM. Just post here and let me know when you are all free and I'll send PMs out when we are going to play.

Cool. We'll probably do a couple of games at different times if people are available. Just hop in when you like and bring your sick sense of humor.  

We will be attempting to get a game going today at about 3:45 PM EST for anyone interested. Teegre is available from then till about 4:30 PM.

We may have other games today depending on responses and availability. If I see some people on and think we can start a game, when may break out spontaneously at any given time. Stay tuned!

It sounds like we have teegre, Vis, and possibly tony in on a game today.

I will play all-time Post Whore today to keep the game flowing and I'll be reading actual question cards from the Cards Against Humanity game. That should keep things moving and give people a chance to get into the groove of how to play easier.

Again, I would like to play more games earlier than 3:45 EST if anyone is interested. Just PM me or post here if you want to play. We need 3 people to start.

I don't think I'll make it. The start is right before I get off work and then I'm going to a concert in Milwaukee.
