Bud may not be a big impact guy this season, but he's gonna turn out to be a great pick. Speed, explosiveness, character. As long as he stays healthy, he is going to learn what he needs to in order to be a force in the pass rush and solid vs the run.
I honestly think that at least 5 of the guys in this class are going to be really good picks for the Steelers.

So? Tom Brady will get $8 million this year alone and he has deflated balls and no sack.

Pittsburgh Steelers LB Jarvis Jones on rookie Bud Dupree: 'He's real intelligent'
By Jacob Klinger | jklinger@pennlive.com on May 27, 2015
PITTSBURGH -- From what Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Jarvis Jones can tell, Bud Dupree is a quick study.
Dupree, who the Steelers drafted 22nd overall in the 2015 NFL Draft, has impressed his fellow first-round draft pick and outside linebacker in position meetings as he learns Pittsburgh's defense.
"He learns fast man," Jones said. "Just in the meeting room you can tell he's picking things up. I mean, it's Day 2, but he's picking things up so it's going well so far right now. I can speak only on what we have done."
Jones is starting at right outside linebacker ahead of James Harrison, the veteran said on Tuesday. Dupree plays second-string left outside linebacker opposite Harrison, Harrison said.
Arthur Moats finished last season as the primary backup to the since-retired Jason Worilds at left outside linebacker.

Steelers OLB Bud Dupree getting first-team reps, wants to go against best
Jeremy Fowler, ESPN Senior NFL Writer
Bud Dupree says he dropped into coverage often as a linebacker at Kentucky, which he thinks will ease his transition to the NFL.
PITTSBURGH -- First-round pick Bud Dupree said he’s happy he is getting some first-team reps because he likes "going up against the best."
The Pittsburgh Steelers have veterans James Harrison and Arthur Moats along with third-year pro Jarvis Jones at outside linebacker, but Dupree confirmed they are working him in with first- and second-team reps.
The Steelers appear to be grooming Dupree as an eventual starter.
"Everything is starting to click," Dupree said. "(My goal is) to show them I know the plays and show them they can trust me."
The Steelers selected Dupree No. 22 overall in this year’s draft. Dupree ran a 4.56-second 40-yard dash, which is big time for a 6-foot-4, 269-pounder. He also has a 42-inch vertical.
Dupree’s college stats aren’t gaudy -- he finished with 7.5 sacks for Kentucky in 2014 -- but Dupree has context for that. He dropped into coverage more than he rushed the passer at Kentucky, he said. That experience is helping him adapt to the Steelers' system that emphasizes both.

Bud Dupree: We want to be the group that revives Steelers defense
Posted by Josh Alper on June 30, 2015
The Steelers have a long history of riding strong defenses to playoff berths, but that trend has slowed in the last couple of years as the team has said goodbye to several fixtures of the unit without getting the same production in their place.
They’ve spent high picks on defensive players in each of the last three drafts with a particular focus on linebackers. Jarvis Jones, Ryan Shazier and Bud Dupree have been the team’s last three first-round selections and Dupree says that they want to be part of the core that brings about a revival of the old defensive ways in Pittsburgh.
“I want to be in that group that brings it back,” Dupree said, via Cleveland.com. “We want to bring back that hunger, that eagerness to go after the quarterback.”

I think it starts up front and with Heyward, Tuitt and hopefully a healthy McLendon (along with reserve contributions from McCullers, Walton, Geathers or Thomas....the line should be solid.
I'm pretty confident in the ILB group and with vets like Moats and Harrison, the OLB group is OK. Dupree is a physical freak and I can honestly see Moats and Jones starting, with Harrison rotating at ROLB in pass situations. Not expecting Dupree to be a big contributor until 2016.
