• The Steelers received some good news Thursday about injured safety Robert Golden. A MRI on Golden, who went down with what Mike Tomlin called a potentially signifcant knee injury during practice Wednesday, revealed that there is no structural damage. “It turned out not to be as significant as once thought. He ligaments are in place, which is good news,” Tomlin said. The Steelers have been practicing without safeties Mike Mitchell (hamstring), Shamarko Thomas (shoulder)and Ross Ventrone (ankle).
