| Maybe the saddest of all is how he has been unfairly judged by the media, while they praise and support current quarterbacks that have similar situations to Ben over his career. Russell Wilson came into the league with a great defense and a great running game. He doesn't put up big numbers, but he wins. He has done well, but he is already rated as a better quarterback than Ben, even though he is nowhere near the passer that Ben has developed into. I love Wilson, but he is not a better quarterback than Ben at this stage of his career.....and it's not close. The media has always used those very same arguments against Ben being a great player. Now they just anoint Wilson as a great player for the very reason they didn't rate Ben highly for years. Andrew Luck is a "once in a generation player". He is already rated as a better quarterback than Ben by almost everybody. He throws a lot of touchdowns, but the conveniently forget that he is a turnover machine. Now that he started the season poorly, they blame his pathetic play on a horrible offensive line and lack of a running game. Ben has played many years behind some of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. They couldn't protect him, and they had anemic rushing attacks. How did the "media" feel about Ben when he wasn't putting up big numbers behind shit OL play? They parroted over and over again that he held onto the ball too long.....even while he was taking teams to Super Bowls. So when Ben didn't have huge numbers, got sacked a million times, had no running game, and won tons of regular season games, playoff games, and Super Bowls......he held the ball too long and didn't do enough to be rated as an elite quarterback. When Andrew Luck has many of the same issues, and turns the ball over a ton......he's the Messiah. I am so sick of the "expert media" and there bias against Ben for whatever reasons. People are starting to notice now, but he has been a great player for a loooong time. He has always been held to a different standard, and has been downgraded as a player for some of the same reasons other quarterbacks are defended and put on pedestals. Sorry.......I had to vent! | |

Sorry.......I had to vent! I don't mind venting. I can't stand how the 'experts' avoid talking about bad games for certain qbs in general ie Rodgers or Brady. No player is 'perfect' yet they've all brainwashed themselves into believing both are 'perfect'.

. True, but that's always the case. Players like Brady, Rodgers, and Ben are driven by slights against them......real or otherwise. Great talent that also has a maniacal desire to win and a desire to prove people wrong has been a formula to create Pro Bowl and HOF players since the game has been played.

Spot on. Brady may be a douche, but he has never lost that drive to prove that he should have been drafted earlier. Rodgers is almost obsessed with it. .
