| Villanueva was actually open on the play. Jones' delivery was late.
Watch the game, BlazeQuietly.

Watch the game, BlazeQuietly. I did watch the game. That wasn't my point. If Tomlin doesn't make that call then the ball isn't in Landys hands in the first place. Check your concept of time and what direction it travels in Canada. _________________

It's almost like at that point it's not Tomlin's fault. It's almost like, now stick with me, execution is on the players. If Villanueva is open and Jones delivers the ball late on a play that would have worked if executed properly, how is this on Tomlin? Walk me through the logic, because if I follow whatever you're calling logic right now, every single play that fails could be pinned on Mike because he "[doesn't] make the call". Would've worked. Poor throw.

Would've worked. Poor throw. I don't know about you but Id rather place faith in Boswells foot than our 2/3rd string qb completing a pass to our back up blind side guard. I'm not saying "Fire Tomlin" But that was a horrible play call and you aren't going to get many people to agree that it wasn't, even if you are arguing against the infamous "BlaZeQuietly" _________________

| Decisions backfire in Steelers' loss in Seattle
By Mark Kaboly Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015
SEATTLE — Mike Tomlin's decisions to go for it — or not — have left the AFC wild-card race all jumbled up.
Russell Wilson's 80-yard touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin three plays after Tomlin decided against going for it from the 3 on fourth down in five-point game sealed the outcome as the Seahawks held on to a rare fourth-quarter lead in beating the Steelers, 39-30, in front of a record crowd of 69,055 at CenturyLink Field.
Seattle (6-5) came into the game losing five times when leading in the fourth quarter.
There wasn't a sixth.
Wilson threw for 345 yards and five touchdowns, three to Baldwin, including the game-clinching one with three minutes left.
Ben Roethlisberger, who left late in the game and was said to be going through the concussion protocol, threw for 456 yards, a touchdown and two costly interceptions as the Steelers (6-5) put up 538 total yards. Markus Wheaton caught nine passes for 201 yards, and Antonio Brown was held to six catches and 51 yards with Richard Sherman watching him.
The Steelers' loss tightened the AFC wild-card race. Four teams are at 6-5 and fighting for the two spots. The Chiefs are currently the fifth seed and the Texans the sixth. The Jets are the first team out, with the Steelers falling from fifth to eighth based on their division record.
The Steelers host the Colts on Sunday night before traveling to Cincinnati in two weeks.
Tomlin's curious decisions proved costly.
First, he called for a fake field goal early in the second quarter, when Landry Jones threw the ball toward left tackle Alejandro Villanueva. The pass was intercepted.
The second came when he decided against going for the win late in the game, with the Steelers trailing 32-27 and facing fourth down at the Seattle 3...

I'd of went for the TD instead of kicking a field goal. _________________ Hunter is perfect example of America democracy When money becomes ideology the gangsters become leaders Several species of small furry animals gathered together grooving with a pict "Sinful mankind latches onto bad ideas to justify their sinful behavior."

| Ben being messed up and out is the only thing I can think of....he didn't have faith in Landry to drive all the way for a TD, but FG range maybe....if the defense could have gotten a stop.
that said....I still I say go for it there with Ben or Landry.....
this team had no business looking as lost as they did today, coming off a bye....doesn't inspire confidence going into a brutal stretch of the schedule needing to win every game. _________________ Previously known as: Steel_Bus_24 Member of Steelers Fever forums since 06

Kind of like coming of a bye and getting embarrassed by the saints last year, hopefully this inspires them to unleash hell in december like last season. I've noticed usually things that work for advantage for most teams ends up being a disadvantage for us. _________________

| Tomlin is a lot of things, a well rounded Head football coach is NOT one of them. I'd like to say that Tomlin has improved in the areas he should have but that wouldn't be true. Tomlin was handed a great football team and isn't capable of replacing the pieces after they have fallen apart. The Steelers organization needs to finds out where it wants to go from here, it has a franchise QB who is in the latter parts of his career that is often injured and still hasn't learned to throw the ball out of bounds to save a disastrous play. The defense has 3-4 promising players and the rest look like practice squad bodies, it's obvious the Steelers would rather draft 10 linebackers than than address perhaps the weakest DBs in football. The defense cannot cover, tackle or keep their assignments in order. The Steelers are 6-5 and not looking better week to week but more lost with every snap. | |

While I agree Tomlin has made some really bad play calls (seems like it started this season), he is still a pretty good coach overall. I don't think we should fire him. Maybe we should have replaced Cower with someone else, as Tomlin could be better. He definitely isn't going to win coach of the year. This has been a shitty season over all. We were without Ben for 4 games, hes been playing hobbled all year. Bells gone for the season. Pouncey is out. It's just not the season we envisioned. Except that our secondary sucks, that part of the vision came true. The answer is definitely NOT to fire our head coach, especially considering Ben is entering the last 4 or so years of his career. However, if this crap keeps up, we don't get another ring, or consistently miss the playoffs for the rest of Ben's career I wouldn't argue with a coaching change. As there may likely be a few down years after Ben's departure/ final season. _________________

| Tomlin is a guy who has certainly proven his worth and earned his stay, no matter how many times we overreact as fans and demand he be fired.
But I'll be damned if that wasn't one of the worst-coached games I have ever seen.

Again. You mean the one you tried to ban several times and couldn't? You are the worst mod in the world. I disagree with you on something and get banned just for having a different opinion. Who decided to make you a moderator in an effort to "save" the website only to appoint someone that would troll bait, and in general bait personal attacks so you would have an excuse to ban people, or just ban people that gave you any attitude? Saw it happen to a lot of people so I doubt that helped the website what so ever. _________________
