Steelers Ryan Shazier 'knocked out' while suffering concussion

Not good having such issues for a guy his age. So much potential talent going to waste.

Shazier was basically called out by Butler for babying his injuries (not the concussion).

“He has to play through them, and that's part of growing up and being a veteran in the National Football League,” Butler said. “If you are waiting to feel good before you play, you are never going to play. He's dealing with that right now, and hopefully we can get him on the field and keep him on the field.”

Can't say that I blame him. Guys like Roethlisberger are out there with sprains, bruises, broken noses, etc... Putting their asses on the line, and Shazier gets a minor injury and he's out of the lineup completely. While some of his injuries warrant some off time, there's other ones that I think were a little ticky tacky and he needs to toughen up. If his coach is saying something like that, then there's got to be a shred of truth to it.

Wow, this is insightful. Seems like the big bad buckeye LB is less like Chris Spielman and more like Terri Glenn in the toughness department.

Yep - Shazier needs to get onboard with how to "play through" injuries

You'll get past that.

Shazier be like: "Sorry guys, gonna have to sit this one out now."

All jokes aside, concussions are no laughing matter, he definitely needed to go out for that, as did Ben, but some of these other injuries are the type where he needs to suck it up, his coach wouldn't be calling him out if there wasn't truth to that.
