| The Indianapolis Colts have given head coach Chuck Pagano a contract extension, the team announced Monday.
The team is scheduled to officially announce the deal in a press conference that starts at 10:30 p.m. ET.
The Colts are working to extend the contract of general manager Ryan Grigson as well, sources told ESPN's Adam Caplan.

I thought Pagano was gone
Grigson and Pagano hate each other - but after ingesting who knows what Jim Irsay hatched this plan

| The Colts probably did something right. They have not supplied him with the defensive players or the offensive linemen to play at a high level. Injuries have also compounded that problem this year. He went a large part of the season without his starting quarterback and they still finished 8-8.
I thought they were going to let him go but cooler heads prevailed. Good for him. _________________ I'm a shell of my former self.

| Good move by the Colts.
As for Pagano and Grigson hating each other, perhaps Irsay called them both into the executive conference room, ordered in some catering, and told them don't come out until their problems are resolved.
You would be surprised how quick issues between people dissolve when things like higher authorities step in.

| I was hoping Pagano would be let go so we could bring him back as DC and finally ditch Dean Pees. _________________ Wallace108: Jon, how the hell do you expect any of us to ever follow your posts? | It's the right move. 5 QBs and you still had a fighting chance for the division on the last day of the season. Pagano seems like a good dude too from watch the presser last night. | |
