Several Steelers starters to make preseason debuts

Three starters who have been healthy scratches in the first two preseason games – quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, wide receiver Antonio Brown and linebacker James Harrison – will make their preseason debuts.

“How long guys play will really be determined by how they perform and how the game unfolds,” Tomlin said. “We’ll play that by ear, but we’re committed to playing our first wave, to get a sense of their overall readiness, and then we’ll work from there.”

That first wave also will include some players who have been missing in action the first two weeks of the preseason. Center Maurkice Pouncey, strong safety Sean Davis and inside linebacker Ryan Shazier are expected to make their debuts.

color me surprised, offense stalls in the red zone.

Not really worried about our offense they've been humming right along. The defense needs to learn how to tackle. Burns and Golden had Moncrief wrapped up then they let him run for 50 yards.

That illegal contact call was dumb. Barely touched the guy.

I've about had enough of Ross Cockrell, I've defended him in the past but he has been awful in camp, and in the preseason. Where's Sensabaugh?

A lot of dumb mental mistakes tonight, and weirdly Jones comes in and the offense can't even muster a 1st Down.

Deebo clearly held on that play, but refs turn a blind eye.

Doesn't matter though, the defense is making any QB the Colts play look like Dan Marino.

I think the offense is going to be perfectly fine. They played with Knile Davis tonight, he's not eaxactly good out of the backfield, kind of made them more one dimensional in my opinion, more predictable. With Bell and Conner for the regular season we'll have a much more dynamic backfield.

I'm more worried about the defense. They need to tighten up the tackling, and clean up the mental miscues. I think they also better be considering letting Hilton play over Gay, and Sensabaugh instead of Cockrell because Cockrell has been absolutely abysmal in camp, and the preseason.
