Steelers first postseason game will be 1:05 p.m. January 14 at Heinz Field

he Steelers will begin their quest for a seventh Super Bowl championship at 1:05 p.m. Jan. 14 at Heinz Field.

They will play the highest-seeded team that survives next weekend’s games – Jacksonville, Kansas City or Tennessee. Buffalo (6th seed) plays at Jacksonville (3) at 1 p.m. Sunday. Tennessee (5) plays at Kansas City (4) at 4:35 p.m. Saturday.

If the Steelers, seeded No. 2 in the AFC, win their first game, they will advance to the Jan. 21 AFC championship game at 3 p.m. either at No. 1 seed New England or, if the Patriots* lose, at Heinz Field.

As the top two seeds, the Steelers and Patriots* earned first-round playoff byes.......

I think the likely Divisional Round matchups will be:

Jags at Steelers
Chiefs at Pats*

Jags and Chiefs beat Steelers and Pats* earlier in season. I think Steelers and Pats* win this time around but it would be very cool for Chiefs to pull upset and for Steelers to get the Chiefs at home for AFC CG.

That would sit well with me too.

Anythings possible, but who knows. Seeing NE get knocked off early would be great, but I'd like the Steelers to be the ones to knock them out

I'd sooner see Steelers do it as well but still wouldn't mind AFC CG at home, and ultimately a SB trip, regardless of who would take the cheats out. Gerry Dulac at PPG seems convinced in his chats that the AFC CG will be at Heinz Field.

Correction good sir, the Steelers beat the Chiefs 19-13 and sent them on a losing streak through mid-season.

However, I have no doubt we'd beat them again should we meet. I also feel the Steelers would put the Jags in their place if they were to meet for a second time.

That didn't come out very clear. What I meant to say was the Chiefs beat Pats** and Jags beat Steelers in the regular season but I think both earlier season losers win in potential rematches.

On a Jags rematch Ben  wants the Jags:
