Fred Johnson signed as UDFA by Steelers

Checking in at 6 foot 7, 326 pounds at the NFL Combine, Johnson stands out from a crowd. While he had an up-and-down career at Florida, he seemed to thrive in a more zone-heavy blocking scheme under Dan Mullen and offensive line coach John Hevesy in 2018.

Johnson had a tendency to make costly mental mistakes at times, but if he can iron those out, the Steelers could have a good one at the next level.

It's hard to coach 6 foot 7, 326 pounds that can get to the second level to take on defenders.

why are they acting as if 6'7" , 325 is unusual for a tackle ? i mean they are generally in the 305-315 range but 6'7' ain't exactly a unicorn....  what is unusual is a 6'4" 320 lb tackle , as in our 7th round pick gray. already they are talking about him having a guards body type and possibly working him out there, despite he has always played tackle.

the NFL Puts way to much stock in what is the appropriate size for a position. guys have been debunking that shit all through out history.

devin bush is a prefect example. the former dolphin linebacker zach thomas should have put the too short linebacker shit to rest. he was about the same size as bush with a fraction of the speed.
