Is nobody watching this game?
Can't believe we let them drive all the way from the 1 to a TD.

Nice Drop Diontae. Only would have tied up the game.

Yeah the refereeing heavily favors the dirty birds this game.
Still and all - this feels like a game we could win.

Yeah win or lose right there. It is SO awesome to beat the rats and set them back. I was not expecting this. And 7 sacks on the day are incredible.

Couple of observations.
Big Ben: AIN'T. DONE. YET. Great game. Diontae: Wow. Emerging superstar. Very impressed with how much he's improved. Really amazing.
Terrific game, great win!

really ? you found it to be a good performance ? i thought he was luckier than good today. he hit raven defenders right in the hands 3 times. was saved by washington once. and they got the PI for another one. i'd say it was a mixed outing today. the outcome and perception may be very different if the ratbirds defense could catch.

i cant decide who to give the credit to for all the sacks. jackson was holding the ball for a long time. the pass rush wasnt really overwhelmingly getting to him fast. was the secondary playing that well or is jackson just not able to read the defense ?

shot out to John Leglue coming in the game off the practice squad. he seemed to play decent.

My thought is mostly a combination of the above. Jackson did hold the ball longer than he should have, but that's common for him (not just in this game). I think he had opportunities to throw the ball and didn't make the reads. There were times that the replays indicated good coverage in the secondary and others where receivers were open. Wormley was impressive and some of his rushes pushed up through the middle and didn't allow Jackson time to make his reads. What impressed me is that the pass rush contained Jackson and his escapability was limited, especially in the 2nd half.

Ben's 4th quarter performance was good. I agree with MoP that Ben didn't look good for a good part of the game. His pass to Johnson that was dropped in the endzone was a dime and should have given the Steelers a lift going into halftime. Per Charlie Batch, Johnson should not have taken the angle he did that had him running toward the middle of the field (should have been a skinny post). Anyways, I'm beginning to think we hit Ben with some Chloroform a few hours before the game. When he comes around, we tell him it's the 4th quarter even though it's the opening kickoff. Just a thought.

Yes to some missed passes but a loot of them right on the money. Like the dropped pass by Deontae.
The one INT that got wiped out, did for a reason. Decent pass that never would have been an INT if it weren't for the interference. So you can't hardly blame him for that one.
He Way outplayed Lamar this game, that's for sure.
It ain't gonna be perfect, he's almost 40 - but I thought it was one of his best performances of the year (although way too slow of a start). He showed great leadership in the 4th, bringing the team back.

Ben played like Ben off and on until the 4th quarter then he showed up. It's a shame he has to be down by a touchdown or two to decide to finally make his presence felt. Prior to that he was pretty flat over all.

Ben started out as a Turbo and now is a diesel with a bad steering column and a broken glow plug. Not to mention his operating system (Canada) is faulty. I think Tomlin should just let him run the hurry up and call his own plays for the rest of his season/career.

naw the shame is they are usually down by a touchdown or 2 BECAUSE of him ...
Some valid points but every now and then you gotta give a guy his props. 17 4th quarter points vs the current #1 team in the AFC.
C'mon man, how 'bout just a little lovin'?
sure. he had a good quarter. doesnt make up for all his negative plays and it sure doesnt mean he will play good from here on out. he has had some other small stretches where he looked like the ben of old, BUT he always returns to bad form.
