I can't believe it. Way too young. I don't know what to say except my prayers are with his family.

Under the influence? Lifes pressures? A Trubisky little offense get to know and practice together and something tragic like this happens it's just unreal.

Yeah it's just so sad all the way around. It was supposed to bring the guys on offense together and such a tragedy.

Hoping something good come out of the draft QB wise the QB Room has some distasteful mojo going on at the moment.

I copied this tweet from NFL.com
Chase Claypool @ChaseClaypool I spent your final moments with you and I can’t help but think about how selfless you were in those moments. All you cared about was making sure that everyone around you was okay and I can’t thank you enough for that. You are what I strive to be. #LL3 7:00 PM · Apr 9, 2022
This reads like Claypool was there. I guess the details will come out eventually but it's sad that his life ended so soon.

Here's another article that says other team mates were there:

Poor decision making very sad. I figured alcohol had something to do with it at 6am in a Sunday morning...

Looks like he had a BAC twice the legal limit, and on top of that they found Ketamine and another anesthetic drug in his system. Makes one question just how intoxicated he was when he was driving before he ran out of gas. The BAC was determined by the Medical Examiner after his death, so he could've been quite a bit more intoxicated while he was actually driving and leading up to the event of him being hit and killed.
It's sad, and I feel for his family. This may sound harsh but I don't have much sympathy for him anymore. Seen a lot of excuse-making on Facebook today on his behalf by fans saying he's gone, don't judge him, let him rest, we've all been drunk before, etc... Sorry but I have zero sympathy for drunk driving. With as much money as this kid had there's no excuse for him not just paying an Uber or Lyft to get him to the airport. Instead he had drugs in his system that anesthesiologists use as part of surgical procedures and he mixed that with alcohol on top of that. He was 25 years old and he knew better. I wish he would've made better decisions that night and hadn't gotten behind the wheel to begin with. If there were friends with him they should never of allowed him to drive either. Seen way too much hurt in person that's caused by drunk driving, in this case it was a stroke of luck that he didn't kill someone else as a result of his actions, but he did scar that poor truck driver for the rest of his life. I honestly believe that Dwayne Haskins doesn't deserve to be honored the way that he has following his death, drunk drivers are not heroes in my book.
A lot of people were angry that the media even posted the story and put the facts out there regarding his toxicology results. Some have even gone so far as to make accusations of a conspiracy as if they are lying about his BAC, the drugs in his system, etc... Just ridiculous. The media should share this story, because it should serve as a lesson and deterrent to anyone else thinking about drinking or using drugs and then hopping behind the wheel of a vehicle. Sadly it won't because we live in an American Society today that's full of people who want nothing to do with accountability and taking responsibility for one's actions.
I even had one fine gentleman try to claim that the dump truck driver that hit Dwayne Haskins was a "murderer" and should be charged because he should've seen Dwayne and avoided him... The sheer stupidity of some people. As if some random truck driver was like hey, I'm going to intentionally run this dude over with zero motive and potentially throw away my entire life on a whim...

Excellent post, I couldn't agree more. We all knew there was more to the story and now we have a clearer picture...although not completely clear. I read somewhere that there was a woman with him. Also, comments by Claypool muddy the waters as well. Was Claypool with him? If so, were they both drinking heavily? Was Claypool on these drugs as well?
I also have no sympathy for drunk driving. Lots of innocent lives ended by drunk drivers.
