https://sports.yahoo.com/breaking-down-steelers-picks-draft-183536147.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall

They have us going D-line and Edge with the first two picks, and O-line with the 3rd pick (which is a 2nd rounder).

Thoughts? I've got mine but want to hear yours.

I think we pick in the top 10 and Carter would be hard to pass up. He could be like Casey Hampton.
Taking Smith second as a "rotational linebacker" ...nope. I could see us drafting Eli Ricks. I don't follow college much but this site doesn't show any Oline prospects in the top 10 and only 1 (Skoronski) in the top 20. You guys know more than me about prospects for the Oline but I do think Carter would be hard to pass up.
I can say I believe both lines as well as DB need to be addressed with Oline being a priority.

I also noticed not a lot of O-lineman rated highly, which is disappointing since it is our most glaring weakness. If you've got a top 5 (or close) pick, you've got to get a great player - regardless if its your biggest need. IMO, they need to find a way to bring in at least 2 O- linemen in the first 3 rounds, however they need to do it. There HAS to be a large commitment to the O-line. We do have a lot of holes though.

I agree that we shouldn't pick OL in the top 5 because the value isn't there, but we could try to trade down to the 9-12 range, get an extra 2nd or early 3rd rounder and pick the best OL with our first. Hard to pass up on Carter though when he's still there.

I'm with ya there.

I would probably not trade down from a top 5, but get the best player there - then trade up to get the best lineman in the draft. And maybe trade up again if necessary to get another top lineman early in the 2nd if possible.

This is Pressley Harvin III 2nd year he is still a hot and cold Punter, so the Steelers might be looking for a Punter. Is it too early to talk 2023 draft? Draft Wire mock 1797695198

We should be able to get a great punter with the #5 pick. Is it too early to talk 2023 draft? Draft Wire mock 3798349058

Is it too early to talk 2023 draft? Draft Wire mock 1797695198 let me drop a name on you Ray Guy, isn't Ray Guy in the HOF? Didn't Georgia Tech senior Pressley Harvin III win the 2020 Ray Guy Award? Imho Harvin might just needs to kick through the ball.

I like your list.  I still think 2 of the first 3 picks needs to be OL.  As for who is #1, it will depend on the board.  I heard at one point there might not be an OL that warrants top 10 value, but I just saw a mock that had Paris Johnson Jr going #5 and us picking Jayden Carter (Georgia) right ahead of him.

If those two are on the board, which way to go? Personally I'd go OL if he's worthy of that pick there. But Carter would be great, too. My thoughts for what they are not worth.
