It was a great draft! If the top 5 picks can contribute (and I think they can) we will be well set up for years to come.

I am also excited abiut the Trice pick. He is a baller and has some solid skills. Of he can come in and play slot that would be absolutely awesome.

If Trice can stay healthy he has all the tools to succeed in the NFL. It was a great value pick in the 7th, just like most of our other picks.

Omar Kahn is definitely putting his stamp on this team with solid FA pickups and outstanding draft picks. I agree Trice could be a steal. Reports are that Calvin Austin III has showed up and out. I say trade Johnson for what we can get and roll with Pickins,Robinson, CA III and Boykin/Butler

I'm not so ready to get rid of Johnson. He's talented and he's an all around polished receiver. He's also got veteran experience and I'd like to see what he does with an offseason, OTA's, and training camp under his belt to build chemistry with Kenny Pickett. I like the receiving corps they've put together, I think we have all sorts of weapons now and I think it'd be better to keep this corps together rather than trading Johnson off. Jmho.

I liked that Johnson showed up in Florida to train with the group this winter when he didnt have to. All of the receivers did and that really shows me they have bought in to what Kenny is about.

The one thing that would change my mind about DJ is if he CATCHES THE DAMN ball when it comes his way.

Interesting. Let's hope he can stay healthy as talent should be there.

Good to see we locked up Highsmith for 5 years. He has gotten better every year and put up great numbers last year even with TJ out hurt.

It's a good day for the Steelers. Having bookend edge players that can wreak havoc on NFL passing games is a huge advantage.
I like that they kept a home-grown player that is an ascending talent and a hard worker. He earned everything he is getting by working his ass off and improving every year. I love the signing.

Great news that they extended Highsmith's contract! He's improved every year and still very young. His best years are coming now so it was important to keep him.

Yeah I'm lovin' it. Now we need them both to stay healthy. If those 2 can stay on the field together there will be hell to pay for sure.

Awesome on Highsmith signing and Joey also signing before camp. I think Golden could be a solid back up. With the draft and money spent on the D and OL they seem to be pushing to a ball control strategy. That was the approach they had early with Ben. I'm hoping and expecting for big things this year.

5 minutes before Porter broke up a pass intended for Pickens and he let him know, this was Pickens' revenge. The play after Pickens' catch Porter intercepted Trubisky, that was his revenge. I love how both are pushing each other

Yeah, it sucks. He was having a really good camp. I feel terrible for him, he already had a lot of injuries in college which hurt his draft stock a lot so I was rooting for him to have a long career in the NFL. That seems to be in jeopardy right now, so sad because he's talented.

Yeah, it really sucks when young guys go down with major injuries.
I really like Trice and think he has a ton of upside. Let's hope he can bounce back and still have success.

Darnell Washington seems to be impressing in camp. Trubisky saying in this article that opposing teams will probably need double coverage....
