Other than Skoronski are there any other LTs worthy of pick 1?

We're going to cut ties with Bush for sure and I doubt Jack gets re-signed.That leaves us with Spillane and a ?. Robinson? LT ILB CB Top 3 to me. Best available at the time of the pick.

I really want to see us get our Left Tackle in round 1. Also don't know if Skoronski will be there, and don't know how close the guys behind him are to his talent level - but I think we need a top shelf left tackle and that should be our top priority.
PS I wouldn't be opposed to trading up to make sure we get a really good one.

Anton Harrison, Broderick Jones, Parris Johnson, Darnell Wright, Blake Freeland.
All would be an upgrade at the Tackle position.

I thought Parris Johnson was ranked ahead of Skoronski? I know he and Jones are good ones, I don't know the other ones.

He is. But the OT group is pretty deep this year. I don't want them to reach for an OT but if they can get a top 3 or 4 ranked OT at #17 then they should go for it.
If there is a run on OT they can go either DL, ILB, CB, or Interior Oline. With 4 picks in the top 90 they have a lot of wiggle room. If they hit a home run and land 4 starters that pan out this could be one of those drafts that really turns things around for the organization.
They have to hit on at least 3 of the 4 though. I am just hoping they don't reach and try stupid shit like they did with Green or Artie Burns... trying to make a player fit a role they have little to no experience with.

Release Jack, Jackson, Trubisky.
Resign: Sutton, Edmunds
Sign in FA: Bud Dupree or othe OLB as solid backup, Edmunds (Brother), a Left Guard to push Dotson or take his spot.

I don't think Dupree would agree to be a backup. I'll go with the other. "SteelerFreak58"]Release Jack, Jackson, Trubisky. this move would save about 28 mil.

Yeah I am not sure if he would want to either but the way Watt plays 120% on the field every play he is out there he gets hurt he misses games every year. Dupree may see coming back as a rebuild year for himself. He was not productive at Tennesee and did not play much.
Coming back to a team he knows and has shown he can produce with might be the shot in the arm his career needs right now.

Ik they want a slot receiver via FA, would anyone try and sign thielen? I think he'd be a solid fit as a 3rd WR

I think they believe they already have their #3 with Austin. Khan and Tomlin have spoke highly of him lately.

If Austin can stay healthy those in side seam routes will be deadly those routes are in Pickett's wheelhouse when throwing the ball down field.

We lost Cam Sutton to Detroit in free agency. Was really hoping we would be able to keep him.
They gave him about $11million/year, 3 year deal.

Significantly less expensive than Sutton. Got to hope he's got some fuel left in the tank.

True. I just hope it works and we can get a season or two out of him. If we get one good season from him I will be happy they picked him up. He's a baller for sure just a little long in the tooth for a CB.

I'm sorry to see Cam go but 1-2 good years from PP can ease the pain. I think we all knew we were going to lose 1 or 2 starters. When they sign one of our FAs that needs to go like Bush I'll start

Kazee resigned and Guard Nate Herbig interesting pick Weidle choice from Philly then to the Jets. Weidle thinks he has what it takes to be a starter in the league. Hopefully it lights a fire under Dotson.

Ogunjobi resigned... not sure about this move Frank Clark from KC would have been a better pick up. Ogunjobi didn't have a great season with us and missed games.
