| I was bored and decided to check out a Colts board to see what they were saying about Arians. Right away I see these two thread titles: Looks like two TE offense is in and FB is out
Colts to use two, even three TEs A few snippets: - Quote :
- Just because the colts recently canned a FB doenst mean that one wont be aquired or used in the offense.
- Quote :
- Recent trade moves must lead one to believe that the Colts are abandoning their short attempt at running an offense with a Rb and a FB. Chris Gronkowski has exited the camp and we are pretty heavy on TEs on the roster now.
- Quote :
- You can line up the TE in the backfield like NE does.
- Quote :
- I'm not saying there will be a full-time Fullback.... just some Big Back for key plays. Any football team will have one, maybe even two. I suspect we'll have as well.
- Quote :
- But one of Luck's strength is the play-action fake.... he's exceptionally good at. Why take a QB like that if you're not going to have some semblance of balance. You absolutely need a solid threat of a running game. The defense has to at least respect the run.
- Quote :
When Pagano was hired he talked about running the ball to become a more balanced team. Colts fans have no idea what they're in for. Arians is going to do the same thing he did in Pittsburgh ... he has his philosophy and he's going to run it regardless of what players he has to work with. Compare that to Haley, who was pass heavy in Arizona and run heavy in Kansas City. He structures his offense based on the talents of the players. He doesn't try to fit square pegs into round holes. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass. | |

| Colts fans are in for a rude awakening with their "run game". I fully expect one day to see Arians go 5-wide with all tight ends at WR. _________________ -"I stand corrected... | Knowing what our offense went through over the years, I kind of feel bad for colts fans. They haven't done anything to deserve this. I guess Manning knew what he was doing when he left after Arians' hiring. _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available! | |
