Admittedly, the picture is “bleak,” said no less an authority than Brett Keisel. By now the Steelers’ veteran defensive end is well aware that his team faces less than a three percent chance of qualifying for the postseason.
Since 1990, only three out of 115 teams starting 0-3 have done so. That doesn’t mean the Steelers can’t be the fourth. Times Steelers writer Chris Bradford gives you three reasons why you should not only watch these final 13 games, but why the Steelers can still salvage this season.
DO THE STREAK
While losing the first three games of the season isn’t exactly optimal, losing the last three is even worse. The Steelers haven’t done that. Yet. Thirteen years ago, the last time the Steelers lost their first three games, they promptly went on a five-game winning streak.
