Steelers vs. Chiefs (Week 16)

Steelers vs. the Chiefs.  If the Steelers win, they solidify a Wild Card spot.  If the Steelers lose, they fall into the same scenario that they were in last year where they have to rely on other teams to help propel them into the playoffs.  I'm sure it is still fresh in everyone's minds that our season was in the hands of the Chiefs last year and they couldn't do us a solid favor and win one game to help us get in the playoffs.  My NFL season ended last year with me laying face down on the floor, my head buried in my Terrible Towel, and saying colorful language about the Chiefs' football team.

We owe them.  I hope the Steelers feel the same way.

This team has to view the next 2 games as must wins. Win both, win the division and play at home. What could be better motivation?

WIN and IN... simple as that! I prefer this route than depending on other teams.

If the team doesn't play like every game is their last at this point, then it probably will be!

I feel good about this game. Historically, KC has always given us a run for the money, but I really think the Steeler's are going to grab this one. May be close, but I think the Steelers will pull it out.

Heinz Field better be rocking come Sunday. How lucky are we that the playoffs start on Week 16?! I know that I am more jazzed for this game than I was for any other games this year simply due to the magnitude of it and the pain I felt last year when we were so close. Feels great to be in control of our own destiny.

Make no mistake, this will be no easy game: Charles is a heck of a running back and everyone saw what that defense did to Tom Brady. Shut down Charles and turn the game into a shoot out is how we win. I don't think Alex Smith can keep up with BR7.

Steelers have given a couple of the other teams their first of something it seems like this season. Let's hope like hell Chiefs don't get added to that list by giving receivers their first TDs.

Just read on the bottom line ticker on ESPN, that if the Steelers win today, then they clinch a playoff spot.

Well I say this should be a "Drown and pound" day.

The fans drown themselves in alcohol (typical Steelers game day) and the Steelers pound the chiefs in to submission.

Yep, sounds like a plan to me.

I so hope we can pull this off but the Chiefs are no push overs I guess we will see. My neighbor is a big Chiefs fan and he is coming over for the game, I will never hear the end of it if we loose.

I'm guessing you won't hear the end of it if we lose either.

Not sure what we're loosing, but as long as it's not hell, then we should be fine.

We need to stop Jamal Charles and put pressure on Alex Smith. Bell needs to half a really good game and Ben needs to be on target.

I know, tell us something we don't know but I think the formula is for Ben to get the ball out quickly and I'm not talking bubble screens. I'm thinking Lance Moore on shallow routes like Hines used to do so they have to come off of the double on Brown. Let's get Bryant involved early too. Use Miller and Spaeth for extra blockers.
