Dark Matter

any scyfi geeks ? just started watching it and watched 8 of the first 9 episodes the last 2 days. awesome TV show. kinda reminds ya of the old "firefly" series that was wrongfully terminated , but maybe a bit "darker" and more adult oriented.

I watched the first 4 episodes but got sidetracked by other shows. I thought the first 2 episodes were solid, but the next 2 didn't grab me as much. Like you MOP, I noticed the similarities to Firefly (particularly, the similarity in the characters of Jayne Cobb and Marcus Boone), but based on what I've seen so far, it's not nearly as fun as Firefly. I just finished a couple of other shows, so I'll be going back to Dark Matter soon.

oh it starts to get a bit more interesting as the crew starts finding out who they are.
i think what made me draw the comparison was the odd teenage girl. i think they're targeting an older audience than firefly was.

have you tried the scyfi "killjoys" ...imma give it a go, it has good ratings.

That last thing I need is another new show. I'm still trying to get caught up with stuff I'm already watching. But I'm always looking for a good excuse to do nothing but sit on the couch and watch television, so if it's good, let me know.

I just watched another episode of Dark Matter, where Portia got infected by the zombie-like crew members. From her now mysterious healing ability, Das's ability to access all the others' memories, and Jace's stolen identity, they're definitely setting up a lot of storylines to explore.
