No puns this week.
Gameballs
Miller - reliable as always
Gay - big big big pick 6
Williams - got the job done when asked
Goats
Pass Defense - good god, that was awful. Let McKerron walk down the field too many times
Blake - special goat to Blake. Awful coverage and tackling. Guy shouldn't be starting at all.
Offense in general- on a day where there the Cincinnati D was injured, there should have been a more convincing performance. Too many drives ended with FG instead of TDs. Won't cut it against better teams possibly in January.

I'd say the same thing.

Balls - Williams. Every week he delivers, without him where would we be? - Brown. For punching that Bengal in the face a few time - Dalton. For breaking a nail - Boswell. All that $$$
Goats -Blake. Sucked as usual -Tomlin. Letting Blake play -Bryant. Not playing up to his potential

Game ball - offensive line. Opened up holes in the run game and gave Ben all day to throw
Goat - Blake and Allen for giving up that bomb to AN green

Game ball - team going into Cincinnati and abusing a team that talked trash all week
Goat - Blake and whoever called that deep throw to Bryant for the pick - that bullshit will not work in the playoffs

Offense is going to have to raise their level even higher if the D is going to play pass defense like that. Defense was once again back to allowing huge throwing lanes like the ones we saw in Seattle.....a better qb would have ripped them apart
offense should have been able to put them away sooner.
Ben how many times are you going to let Nelson pick you off man.....you need to figure out what key your sounding off on those deep balls......and change it.
I know this sounds like nit picking but, the steelers have no margin for error....and I'm measuring them against the highest standards...i.e. Can you make the playoffs and are you good enough to win a SB.
Look it was nice to bring those punks back down to earth.....but the Steelers have a lot of work left to do.

Cheer up - Steelers abused a playoff team in their house today and the team to which the Steelers to lose a tiebreaker for the #6 playoff seed (Bills) lost its 7th game today
Steelers win out they are in - Steelers win 2 out of 3 and Jets lose to Pats** or @Bills and Steelers are in
It looks much better than it did before kickoff today

great outlook. You can only beat one opponent a week, and that's the one you face on the field. One week at a time.

Game ball- Boswell hitting all field goals and putting the kick offs deep not allowing returns.
Heath what a game he had.
Big play Gay.
Goats- Blake no explanation needed. Mitchell- Dude needs to learn how to tackle.

Game Balls: -Offensive Line: HELL of a job against this powerful Cincinnati defensive line. -Heath and DeAngelo: They've been absolutely rock solid for us, great to have heading into January. -Defense as a whole for turnovers: Specific props to Harrison, Gay, Tuitt, and Golden.
Goats: -Secondary: too loose, soft, and weak. Cinci does have damn good receivers though. -Receivers: their presence felt overall weak today. Felt like they got out played by the DB's. -Special Teams: Kickoff return coverage is still a bit sketchy, needs work for sure.

Game Balls: Boswell, dude's money. Brown, didn't seem to drop a pass. Williams, was a work horse as always.
Goats: Blake. Blake. Blake.

It's a great sign when you see so many different players given game balls.

Thats right the Jets play the Pats* again. I think I'd rather be in the steelers shoes than the Jets shoes right now. I think we are probably the favorite to win that last wild card spot.

My game balls go to the offensive line, great job : DeAngelo (it seems he can get one each game) and the Coaches, yes the coaches, for allowing the nastiness to percolate all week and not try to stifle it.
Goat. Blake was awful again in coverage, but he does play with an edge which in these games is very important.

Shazier & Ben get top PFF grades vs Bengals
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier has been quiet since coming back from a shoulder injury that cost him Weeks 3-6. He looked much stronger in the Steelers’ 33-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, and he earned the team’s highest individual grade from Pro Football Focus.
Shazier was given a 3.2 overall grade, the highest the site has given him in his career, mostly due to an outstanding performance in terms of coverage. The Bengals had little to go on offensively, and their 20-point output includes a garbage time touchdown pass from A.J. McCarron to Rex Burkhead.
Ben Roethlisberger’s 1.8 and David DeCastro’s 1.7 were the highest grades among the Steelers’ offensive players in a game they really didn’t earn high marks overall. Conversely, the Bengals had two players on defense who were graded above 3.0 (Geno Atkins at 3.5 and Carlos Dunlap at 3.3), and the highest grade of the day went to right guard Kevin Zeitler, who had a 5.7.
Cornerback Will Gay (1.6) and James Harrison (1.0) rounded out the top scores on defense. Roethlisberger and DeCastro were the only two offensive players in the green. Heath Miller (-1.9) and Cody Wallace (-1.5) were the lowest on offense. Antwon Blake (-2.8) and Mike Mitchell (-2.7) were the lowest graded players on defense.

That -2.8 ranking for Blake might be enough to rank him as the worst CB in the NFL according to PFF. He was the 2nd worst overall as of last week. The Sub-standard is the standard.
