Steelers' Taylor set for surgery on broken thumb Tuesday

Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor will undergo surgery to repair his broken left thumb on Tuesday, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Taylor suffered the injury during the first quarter of Friday night's 16-7 preseason loss to the Washington Redskins.

The 31-year-old veteran is expected to miss up to three weeks but should be set to return when the Steelers open the regular season against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 11.

This injury doesn't concern me at all. A bum thumb won't affect his cover skills, and he couldn't catch a ball before the injury, so nothing from nothing leaves nothing.

Maybe with the repaired thumb he might start catching balls that SHOULD be INT's.

like everyone else has said, no big deal. he couldn't l catch before the injury so probably nothing will change
