2017 NHL Playoffs

Let's get that W tonight boys. I think aggression is the key to tonight's game. I feel good about it!

Too many giveaways and takeaways last night. We have to put the puck in the back of the net more to help Murray out. Series tied 2-2 and I don't have warm fuzzies. If we win at home Thursday night, we go back to Nashville and we don' play well there, so that would probably bring us back to game 7 at home. Nashville will be tasting blood and will probably out play us in a game 7. We needed to split in Nashville and we failed to do that. :(

Lazy defense, sloppy passes, skating backwards the last two games.

Two games in Pittsburgh, Preds didn't have an answer.
Two games in Nashville, Pens didn't have an answer.

I don't know how teams can do Jekyll & Hyde any better, but they have.

I don't have warm fuzzies right now either. These last two games were domination by the Preds. That's not the Pens team I remember. However, this Pens team has bounced back from things like this before and my expectation is they will do it again.

My anticipation, Pens take game 5, then shock the world beating the Preds at home on Sunday.

Back to Back, Baby!!!

That goal by Hornqvist took the air out of the building.

I was purposefully disengaged from the website during the last two games. Some of it had to be with location and people visiting. Most of it had to do with consuming gratituous amounts of Captain N Coke during said last two games.

I was happy with the resolve the team showed in game 6, especially with the ebb & flow of the game and the Predators aggreession throughout the 3rd period. After the Pens killed the 5 on 3, I commented to a friend the Pens would win the game and it would be the 3rd or 4th line that won the game.

After Hornqvist's goal, my emotions were high, and after Hagelin's empty netter it was all joy.

I will say the refs did screw the Preds out of the 2nd period goal, but calls are calls and to be a champion you have to overcome them. Similarly to how the Pens overcame the constant weak calls against the Pens which was the refs way to give back to the Preds for the bad call. They couldn't score on a 5-on-3 PP which should've been an easy task with the way the Preds play hockey. They failed. The Pens did not.
