The signature star of the Pittsburgh Steelers' defense isn't going anywhere.
The Steelers agreed to terms Saturday with safety Troy Polamalu on a new four-year deal that runs through 2014, NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reproted, citing a league source.
Polamalu becomes the third top Steelers defender to receive a big deal this offseason -- behind LBs LaMarr Woodley and Lawrence Timmons. The organization has a longstanding, team-imposed cutoff of the start of the regular season in which to have contracts done.
"Happy to say that I will retire a Pittsburgh Steeler!" Polamalu tweeted on Saturday.
