Dulac notes that Canada's status for 2023 "was never really in doubt after the offense continued to show signs of improvement late in the season." He added that Canada has one more year on his contract.
the way the offensive line improved in the run game imho improved the offense over all nice having a moblie QB helped cut down on sacks.
The way the offensive line improved this year they might be 1 or 2 players from being really good, got some really good offensive skilled players time to get those 1 or 2 o-linemen.

Titans tackle may be eyeing up Steelers https://triblive.com/sports/first-call-kenny-pickett-endorses-keeping-matt-canada-drafting-jordan-addison-titans-tackle-may-be-eyeing-up-steelers/
Tennessee Titans tackle Taylor Lewan is likely to be released after missing most of this season with a knee injury.
The Steelers may be in the market for an offensive tackle in free agency or the draft. Lewan was a Pro Bowler from 2016-18 with the Titans. He signed a five-year, $80 million contract extension with Tennessee in 2018, but injuries have limited him to just 20 total games over the last three years.
The 31-year-old is slated to count for $14.8 million against the Titans salary cap for 2023.
Maybe at the right price.

I don't mind them keeping Canada for the next year. Kenny deserves some continuity his first two years. Hopefully with the Oline getting their shit together we will be able to put up some more points.
There were many times this season the offense shot themselves in the foot when they got into the red zone either with penalties, drops, or blown opportunities. Canada can't be held accountable for those things.
He does need to utilize the receivers height to their advantage for some more corner jump balls to Muth, Pickens, Gentry (if he is back) and Boykin (if he is back).

I didn't think I'd say this 2 months ago but I don't mind either. Help could be on the way:

Really like Kenny Pickett and the Steelers front office not cheap out on Kenny and get a solid LT and LT capable backup long term would really help this offense take the next step this off season.

If the Steelers offense can improve on their 2nd half of the season running game and be consistent with it and Pickett cuts down on the interception Steelers could have a good offense in 2023.

Lewan coming over would be a good fit. Let him and Moore battle it out in camp. Isaiah Wynn is going to be on the market as well from the Patriots*. He could be a really good pickup on the cheap.

Still like to draft a really top shelf OL in the first if we can get one. I'd love a high caliber left tackle anchoring it down for the next 10 years.
