Adams Tries To Build On Strong Week 7 Effort

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — A valiant effort by a depleted offensive line was a big part of the Steelers’ win in Cincinnati, and rookie Mike Adams is happy after finally having seen that effort on film.
“I think I graded out pretty well. Definitely room for improvement,” he said to 93.7 The Fan’s Eric Hagman on the South Side Thursday. “It’s different when you’re not coming off the bench.”
Adams substituted for an injured Marcus Gilbert in Week 7 and helped pave the way for backup running back Jonathan Dwyer, who finished with a game- and season-high 122 yards on 17 carries, while rookie Chris Rainey provided the winning points on an 11-yard run made possible by a big hole up the middle.
