Madden 25

The new Madden video game was released today for Xbox 360 and PS3. I am currently on the fence about buying the newest edition of the game because last years was very disappointing for me and I have a solid dynasty going on NCAA 13.

I am hoping to get some feedback about this game and if it is worth buying it so put any feedback you have about the game in this thread.

Maybe some things to talk about are:
Favorite part of the game.
Least favorite part of the game.
Improvements you've noticed.
Score (1 to 10, 10 high)


 

I grew tired of Madden shortly after PS2 came out. So I'm of no help, but thanks for letting me express myself and get that out in the open.

do they make it for my old and outdated PS2  

My son picked it up this morning. He's at work and I haven't talked to him today, so I haven't gotten a report yet.

Wally, I ended up picking it up. It's a fantastic game. Does your son have it for 360 or Playstation? If he has it for Xbox, we might have to set up a league.

Here's what I've done so far in the game: fantasy draft and I chose the Rams because I am going to relocate them. To where you ask? Memphis. The mascot? The Egyptians. St. Louis is in an uproar.

Times like these, I wish I had the power in real life to make that happen.

He has it for 360. I haven't played in a few years. I played online with him for a while, but I got tired of getting killed. My best video game playing days are far behind me. I still like to play once in a while, but I don't have the time or ambition to play enough to be able to get any good. My son, on the other hand, would likely be interested in a league.

OK. He actually has an account here although he never uses it. If he's interested, I'll have him PM you and you guys can work it out.

I actually got my hands on the PS3 version a full two weeks before the release for reviewing purposes (youtube connections ) and I liked it. I would rate it an improvement over last years installment, although most critics are rating it slightly lower than Madden NFL 13 scores. I believe Madden 25 has improved on gameplay mechanics from Madden 13, and the Franchise mode is a lot better. Some of the presentation is lacking, and the touchdown celebrations are repetitive due to a lack of memory saved for that aspect. Little gripes.

Honestly, looking back, I had a LOT of fun playing Madden 07 and Madden 10. Two games in the Madden franchise that I truly enjoyed. I think Madden 25 is close to that level of enjoyment, but i'll have to play it a little more to find that out.

I bought last years addition of Madden and I thought it was okay. For some reason, I couldn't get into it like I did with Madden 10. How is this years Madden different from last years?

IMO - this years Madden is much cleaner. People aren't randomly tripping over people and it puts you more in control of EVERYTHING. I'm about to tap into my teenage self and play deep into the night because I just can't put the game down. I have been playing off and on for about 6 hours.

I'd be more than happy to join an online league. I've always wanted to do that, but it's so hard to do with just random people online. But I think it's a much better improvement from last years. I've only played it a few times since the release due to work and college. However, the running is much better. You can actually cut through gaps and what not and you have a lot of control over the guy you're controlling. My gamertag is Harper2013 if you want to add me. I will do that Chris. I will be gone for 2 weeks though so I hope you don't mind waiting that long to get it rolling.

We will have to talk about the specifics such as if you wanna do a fantasy draft, difficulty, quarter length, etc.

Maybe we can use the chat on here to do that when we set it up
