Week 16: Steelers @ Packers

Well here we are heading in to the final two games and the biggest challenge remains this weekend in Green Bay.

Flynn is the starting QB and I really believe that he can create fits for our secondary, especially if the front 7 can't get a pass rush on Flynn. I believe that our offense can be overly productive tomorrow but it's going to require a great deal of the no huddle in order to keep the packers defense on their heels.

It's Eddie Lacy that will destroy us on this game. We lose. Bad. In the snow. And the season officially ends.

Sorry for the negativity, but I think this game is about to show us why we weren't a playoff caliper team this year. It starts and ends with the defense.

So which would be more frustrating?

1. We get crushed by the Packers and reminded why we're in the situation we're in.
2. We do to the Packers what we did to the Bengals. And it doesn't matter.

It would be more frustrating getting crushed.

I want this team to end the season on a streak, and go in to next season on a high note.

Actually, either one is frustrating.   

For me, I think it would be more frustrating to come out and whup the Packers and look like a playoff team (like in the Bengals game) when it doesn't matter. I'm certainly not saying that I don't want to win. Of course I do. But it would be beyond frustrating if they look really good again, like a team capable of making the playoffs. Nothing like turning it on after the Miami loss ... exactly one game too late.

Yup...but it won't matter. Our defense will show its shortcomings today. The front line getting blasted and Ike Taylor looking silly by a backup QB. (Sorry Ike fans...for some reason)

I want to see them win the remaining two games -- for guys like Kiesel who may not be back next year. I want to see the vets go out winners for their last few games.

I logged in to the game just in time to see Timmons sack Flynn.

first drive started off good, but stalled at midfield. A rocket off the chest of Brown didn't help

Dolphins lost and Jets won. Ravens are losing 17-0. The impossible scenario is looking a lot more possible. But nothing matters unless we win. Steelers need to come out strong in the second half. Get some points on the opening drive and then make a statement on defense.
