Steelers coach Mike Tomlin would not commit to cornerback Ike Taylor holding onto his starting job if he is healthy enough to play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
Speaking at his weekly news conference Tuesday afternoon, Tomlin said Taylor's ability to practice this week would determine his playing status for Sunday's road game. Taylor was pulled from this past Sunday's win at Cincinnati with what the Steelers at the time announced were “right shoulder and left knee” injuries.
In discussing Taylor's status Tuesday, Tomlin referenced “shoulder and forearm.”
Taylor missed eight games after sustaining a broken arm Sept. 21 during a game at Carolina. His shoulder was injured during the second quarter Sunday, but he quickly returned to the game.
Asked if Taylor would start if he were healthy, Tomlin said: “That's to be determined. We just need to, first of all, get a handle of where he is from a health standpoint, and then make a decision accordingly.”

| I believe Julio Jones is hurt as well. That will potentially be one less target we have to worry about.
